I can understand why some people don't like the movie, I personally love it. To each their own I guess.

The dinosaur scene was awesome, but that scene in the mud was freaking insane. So graphic for a PG-13 movie.

I found this to be a nearly 3 hour snoozefest.

I had high expectations, and brought the kids to see it in the theatre, even my 7 year old thought it sucked.

It's really boring until they get into the jungle. Then it picks up a little. But it is pretty boring. I wish Peter jackson would go back to making horror movies. But that's never gonna happen.

I bought the video game of this for X box for my kids today ironically. My six year old picked it out.

there is a reason why the original kong wasnt 3 hours long, it didnt need to be.

peter jackson thought "hey, here is this really classic movie... i think i can do it better, so what i am going to do is have a girl fall in love with a giant ape that has kidnapped her and killed most of the people she has become friends with since being on the boat who will then go back to new york and proceed to kill dozens more! brilliant! the original kong had created audience sympathy but people still feared him, nobody fell in love with kong! oh and while i'm at it, i'm going to add completely over the top cgi scenes including a fight with some t-rex's that swing in vines at one point... ohhh and kong has to butt slide on some ice... and when kong is attacking a commuter train towards the end of the movie, the hero will get the bright idea to save the people of the train by making kong CHASE HIM THROUGH THE BUSIEST PART OF THE CITY AND CAUSE MORE DAMAGE!!"

ugh, it was so retarded.

Dude, I have to agree. We actually shut it off before they even got to monkey because I found the dialog so fucking painful. I think it had that "Mummy-esque" stupidity about it that made me want to slowly torture and kill everyone involved in it's production.
