We've had several very successful metal shows at my venue in the past.

Currently, we generally don't have live music on Sunday nights.
I would like to change that.

Would any bands (who can draw, and not with a crayon, either!) be interested in playing on an early 3-band bill(doors at 7 PM, bands on at 8, 9, 10 PM, respectively, each doing 45 minute sets)? Everything would be over and done with by 11 PM, getting everyone out the door and home in time to be well-rested for dayjobhell the next day.

Since the Chopping Block closed 2-3 years ago, and rumor has it that O'Briens is "closed for renovations", the Boston area needs a home for metal. I want to be the catalyst for this by offering my venue for weekly Sunday night metal shows. Any takers?

What about a Sunday mid-afternoon thing? That might work better with the T's Sunday schedule?

I'd be down for that.

Mid afternoon? How early are we talking? It's been my experience that it's hard to get fans out on a Sunday a/n (sports games, family schtuff, etc).

the mid-afternoon thing should depend on what time the Pats game is on

I think it's a great idea, Anderson. The more venues actively supporting metal the better. I wouldn't do it earlier, either...no one goes to early shows. I'd LOVE to set one up if you'd be willing to let me. I think I could put together a really good draw/lineup.

Great idea, the skybar is about a 15 minute walk from my house and it would give more bands a place to play.

What kind of cover are you thinking if any?

I'm sure Devil's Champion would be willing to grace everyone with our presence

If the Skybar can't do it, this lineup should take place somewhere. RI would be cool. The last time I played there kids pigpiled on me for a song they totally didn't know the words to and showered me with beer. I would like to have that happen again.

Point is, you can do any combo of those bands, and have a steady stream of MA bands playing in NH.
