Fucking Crushes!!!

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Sep 9,2006 3:25pm
agreed

toggletoggle post by DrinkHardThrashHard  at Sep 9,2006 3:49pm
It's good.

toggletoggle post by Dar  at Sep 9,2006 3:55pm
really does, I was blown away by how fresh this one sounded.. moves Gorgoroth up quite a bit in the black metal hierarchy if you ask me

toggletoggle post by CNV at Sep 9,2006 4:36pm
Nothing will ever top pentegram but this is a step in the right direction

The Twighlight of the Idols one sucked

toggletoggle post by Dar  at Sep 9,2006 4:56pm
Yeah it did suck, I don't remember anything off that album
I couldn't get the one before it either, Incipit whatever
that's why it was so surprising to me that they could now put out an album that really competes with the younger, hungrier generation of BM bands

toggletoggle post by CNV at Sep 9,2006 5:41pm
This definately does have a sound of its own

Good to hear a bit of originality these days

toggletoggle post by Kinslayer at Sep 9,2006 5:59pm
Aye, I'm digging it so far...

Twilight wasn't terrible but it wasnt Gorgoroth-esque black metal, for sure...

I like Incipit Satan but again, it's different from thier other shit...

Personally I dislike Destroyer the most...

toggletoggle post by ArilliusBM  at Sep 9,2006 6:09pm
I'll have to check this out sometime soon.

I've been listening to Absu's "The Sun of Tiphareth" all week though so it's going to be hard to move away from this.

toggletoggle post by Abbath at Sep 9,2006 11:05pm
it's safe to say their latest is the most craziest release in a long time

Abbath said:

yeah, some of it was just bizarre

like an experimental black metal which is fucking great

toggletoggle post by Abbath at Sep 9,2006 11:35pm
ya i'm all for experimental bm, Gaahl's vocals are the strongest i've ever heard them. intense, that's one man i'd never want to fight. Frost's drumming on it is the best it's been in a while too

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Sep 10,2006 12:25am
8 year olds dude...

toggletoggle post by ArilliusBM  at Sep 10,2006 2:13am
11 years!!

toggletoggle post by Dar  at Sep 10,2006 2:30am
Did any of you guys see that Headbanger's Journey movie? It was so so, but the parts with Gaahl are precious. I mean you could say they kind of made him look like a tool (they certainly did a job on Mayhem, shit was hilarious) but I guess he held his own.
What is Gorgoroth all about?
SATAN.
And...uhh...what does Satan represent to you?
FREEDOM. *swills red wine*
paraphrased but that was good shit, I giggled like a schoolgirl

toggletoggle post by Dar  at Sep 10,2006 2:32am
just noticed the thread right below this was about that
I didn't even know it was on TV today, synchronicity synchronicity

toggletoggle post by rotivore at Sep 10,2006 9:56am
i don't care for the vocals too much *swills red wine* but the music is good.

toggletoggle post by hunterhunter   at Sep 10,2006 11:26am
i love the new gorgoroth

toggletoggle post by CNV at Sep 10,2006 3:23pm
Haunting fucking riffs on this one and the vocals rule too

toggletoggle post by CNV at Sep 10,2006 3:24pm
Oh yeah, and apparently freedom to Gahl means fucking south american boys up the ass

Hahahaha!!!

toggletoggle post by Dar  at Sep 10,2006 3:35pm
oh yeah, that what he's up to?
they ran an interview in Terrorizer a little while ago where he was talking about having adopted some boy...he was very vague though, the magazine was spinning it as "he's a loving father, he's more complex than you think"

toggletoggle post by CNV at Sep 10,2006 3:46pm
They have a link to Nambla on their site

They have a new promo shot with a little boy hanging upside down on a cross naked

I have heard from several people that when they went to Tijuanna ( hope I spelled that right ) they banged little boys in a hotel room

toggletoggle post by CNV at Sep 10,2006 3:53pm
best bm album of 06 hands down

you can't be serious

It makes sense

It does not get much more evil than raping little boys

Gorgoroth has taken black metal to the next level of depravity

I've been listening to this and the new Katharsis non-stop, great albums both.

toggletoggle post by GoatOfCatalyst at Sep 10,2006 9:47pm
well fuck my mouth for the Devil, the new Katharsis is out???

toggletoggle post by Dar  at Sep 10,2006 9:57pm
Yeah, I'd love to get my hands on that new Katharsis. The only one I have is Kruzifixxion, but it's none too shabby. Don't know about all that raping kids shit, sounds like hearsay to me....

toggletoggle post by BobNOMAAMRooney nli at Sep 10,2006 10:18pm
Ajna has the lp, cd has yet to be released.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Sep 11,2006 10:32am
i had no idea there was something after Twilight of the Idols. that one was boring.

Think about it

Gahl went to jail for ritual torture

They are a sadistic lot

toggletoggle post by dunwich  at Sep 13,2006 10:09pm
I haven't really bothered with anything after Destroyer. I heard a few tracks from Incipit Satan that were decent but they didn't really grab me.

toggletoggle post by CNV at Sep 13,2006 10:10pm
Trust me, this album burns those you just mentioned

toggletoggle post by BobNOMAAMRooney nli at Sep 13,2006 11:11pm
Antaeus' "Blood Libels" appears to be out now in Europe as a digipack.

toggletoggle post by BobNOMAAMRooney nli at Sep 13,2006 11:12pm
Second try on that cover art

toggletoggle post by GoatOfCatalyst at Sep 14,2006 12:05am
Antaeus is fucking excellent. Eager to hear this. Their contribution to the "From the Entrails to the Dirt" comp is a rager.

toggletoggle post by Dar  at Sep 14,2006 12:21am
I've got the first Antaeus cd. I enjoyed it, but not enough to pick up the second...curious about this one though, art's kinda cool

I just don't know about that thing with Gaahl, ritual bloodletting yeeahh...there was a lot of bullshit in that courtroom, impossible to say what actually happened.

toggletoggle post by CNV at Sep 14,2006 5:17am
I can show you something that might change your mind

Peste Noire's latest is another excellent album that came out recently. Sounds very much like Mutiilation and early Ulver.

toggletoggle post by BSV@school at Sep 18,2006 3:46pm
I only have two Gorgoroth albums, Antichrist and Under the Sign of Hell. Both are excellent, will have to buy this one as well.
I'm a huge Antaeus fan as Jansen knows, I thought DPE was a crushing follow up to CYFAWS. How does this new one compare?

toggletoggle post by BobNOMAAMRooney nli at Sep 19,2006 4:29am
I've yet to hear Blood Libels, it seems they have copies available on their current tour and through N.E.D. although I'm most likely going to wait until Ajna gets it next month. It's killing me that I can't hear it right now as the sample they posted on myspace was fucking great.
