one of the things they were going to use to blow up planes was a flash from a $10 camera. also, they were planning on using iPods and other devices with batteries.

this means there may be a ban on even watches.

I'm never flying again. It's not worth the effort.

well before you get mad at the airline industry...think of the sick fucktards who are demented enough to think of fucked up bullshit things to do...

when i was coming home from chicago i got to the airport the earliest i'd ever been..90 minutes before the flight took off...i'm usually running to the gate...anyhow in chicago you have to check in 60 minutes before or they won't let you on the plane...

I'm not mad at the airline industry at all. I just refuse to go through all of this just to fly. It's not gonna stop. You take one thing away, they'll think of something else. Pretty soon you'll have to mail your luggage and fly wearing airline-issued paper smocks.

i don't blame you pam..makes me not wanna fly either. i was referring to die's post because of his naked comment.

The NSA has to keep banning things and thinking up ridiculous searches to create the illusion of safety for the general public, when in fact the goverment is completely powerless in preventing another terrorist attack. Actually, they aren't completely powerless, they could change their foreign policy.

i'm really worried about this,i'm scared that we are taking the entirely wrong approach to "terrorism"
i think we would be better off saying"yeah, fuck it,you want to blow up our planes,go for it,
i'd rather fight 10 wars on 10 different fronts and lose every one than all this bullshit

Good job, instead of copying an article from alternet, you just reworded the article head.

http://www.alternet.org/story/40437/
"The Transportation Security Administration exists not to prevent terrorists from bringing down planes but to prevent passengers from realizing the government is powerless over such catastrophes. "

We are not powerless to stop it, but we can only stop what has been done before and what we believe might be next. Its like anti-virus software for a computer. It will stop things that have been used in the past. People (hackers or what not) will then find new ways around the software to infect a computer. So, software companies then have to go back and improve again. Its an on-going cycle.

You know how the terrorists were basically trying to make our lives harder with the shit that they did? Well, this is how they win. By getting our government to make our lives harder for them. In my eyes the terrorists got what they wanted, because our government pussy enough to choose to give it to them.

that's actually a very popular opinion. i've heard similar statements made years before 9/11. prolly before it was stated on alternet. maybe there's some merit to it...

Don't worry. I stretch properly before any activity so I don't pull a hammie.
