Mysterious Cities of Gold is another cartoon animated in Japan, I think it may even have been made by the Shuki/Levi team responsible for Inspector Gadget. It was on Nickelodeon when we got cable in summer of '86 and was on for at least a couple years. Great show, by the way; definitely belongs in the top ten all-time kids' cartoons along with Inspector Gadget, Thundercats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and the even more obscure Wheel Warriors (a ZILLION points to anyone who gets that reference). |
|
Ha, apparantly no one remembers either show. I feel ancient at 27. |
|
I hope DVD's for all those cartoons become available at some point, I'd hate to think that I'll have kids that will miss out on those shows; nothing that's on today compares. |

WRONG! MCOG originated in France, and that's why there's no English language DVD available of the series, because the french suck.
but seriously, best cartoon ever. |

It appears that we may both be right... the following quote is actually from the link you posted: "This show was produced by a French/Japanese corproduction, that's why their's a French version."

Yeah, dude, total classic, glad someone else remembers it. A billion points to you as promised.
