"6. (Shevanel Take 2)

My head will not rest on this pillow
As its gripped in my arms tonight
Like reality, too tight
If a dream could last forever
I would hold you here
Time need not freeze, I need not fear
This world inside
Is a world I have longed to find

And I will not be afraid to love
I will not be afraid to lose
What I once deprived myself of

My tear drops have salt-stained this pillow
As its loosened from my weakend cluth
Like the sun's light: too much
But there's a hope today
That I'll find a way
To make my dream reality

Sometimes I run and sometimes I crawl
Sometimes I fly and sometimes I fall
But this dream of mine won't change at all"

posting anonymously is almost gay as these BTBAM lyrics.

Au Pair is gay. I looked at your faggoty-ass pictures with your slacker haircuts and tight metalcore jeans. Gay.

toggletoggle post by nick   at May 16,2006 6:04pm
BTBAM is metalcore, sorry i dont like your favorite band:
(a) white belt wearing sick mosher.
(b) emerson prog nerd.
(c) member of the band between the buried and me?

My tear drops have salt-stained this pillow
cry me a river.

getting back to the subject, they just put the metallica cover on their myspace

toggletoggle post by Anthony nli at May 16,2006 7:15pm
BTBAM is so hit-and-miss with me. I like parts of their songs but sometimes the assault of gayness from the non-tech parts makes it unlistenable.

toggletoggle post by Cecchini   at May 16,2006 9:11pm
i really dont like this band

toggletoggle post by mOe  at May 16,2006 9:15pm
yea, there's not enough bull's eye Les Pauls involved

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at May 16,2006 9:16pm
i liked their first album, but everything else i heard was gay.

toggletoggle post by mOe  at May 16,2006 9:20pm
i think i might be one of the only people who prefers their second album to everything else

im not a big fan of this metallica cover. the guitar sounds like they used the neck pickup.

toggletoggle post by cav at May 16,2006 10:53pm
and these blast beats sound weak

toggletoggle post by mOe  at May 16,2006 10:53pm

Between The Buried And Me is not metalcore, moron.

toggletoggle post by mOe_RK_in jersey at May 18,2006 11:35am
umm...yeah they are....sure they've got their own sound but its definitly a metalcore sound

toggletoggle post by nick   at May 18,2006 12:31pm
hahaha kids kids, im sorry i insulted the PROGRESSIVE GRINDING BRUTALITY that is between the buried and me.

toggletoggle post by xmikex at May 18,2006 12:53pm
Between the Buried and Me is terrible. I'm not surprised at all that they did a Metallica cover.

That's seriously the dumbest collection of cover songs ever. It sounds like a set list from a 9th grade talent show. It's missing a Gilbert OSullivan cover.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at May 18,2006 1:02pm
i really dont like these guys. i have a similar idea for a cover cd, but i wont pick stupid songs. i mean covering Cemetary Gates? come on, there are way better Pantera songs to cover. that is probably my least favorite Pantera song. that didnt even take any thought, it looks like any regular hour at WAAF.

toggletoggle post by soloman   at May 18,2006 1:02pm edited May 18,2006 1:03pm
I'm a big fan of their first record. But Silent Circus has too many gay parts, and Alaska has too many nerd parts. And cover albums are lame.

toggletoggle post by ConquerTheBaphomet  at May 19,2006 10:25am
I do agree I don't agree with this move i still like the band. I never said they were brOOtal. I should stated they are not metalcore. I would just say progressive metal.

toggletoggle post by ConquerTheBaphomet  at May 19,2006 10:25am
Oops, I meant I don't agree.

toggletoggle post by DrumDum at May 19,2006 4:43pm
i think this band thinks they are musical virtuosos but they really aren't. they are decent. red chord is not very good musically at all. i'll take the B.T. Bam as they are called over red chord.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 19,2006 6:32pm
I just turned on WUML and they are playing the "salt stained pillow" part. heh, it is wicked gay, but I'm still singing along.
ps: I'm sitting in the parking lot of marks show place.

should i go see BTBAM or what?

toggletoggle post by Mik at Jun 3,2006 3:42am
Since when did diversity in music become "gay"? A band doesn't have to be all tech or all or brutal or whatever you want ALL the time to be good, a little bit of variance is a great way to keep your whole album from sounding like a long set of noise and blast beats. And just out of curiosity did anyone even take the time to think that they may have picked those songs because of personal influence, not because they are the best or most popular by that band? Just wondering because last time I checked the point of playing music wasn't to do what everyone else wants, but what makes you have fun..at least that's why I play.

It's the lack of diversity that's gay. The fact that they sound like and have the same lyrics as 438547546543265409546 other generic metalcore bands is what is gay.

toggletoggle post by Kevord  at Jun 3,2006 2:02pm
I like Between the Buried and Me. But cover albums are just a way of cashing in on your popularity while you still can. Pretty lame.

toggletoggle post by sever at Jun 3,2006 2:06pm
as much as this band bores me, i have to give them props for covering earth crisis.

Nah, I think they just had like 56 different names for it.

toggletoggle post by baptizedinresin  at Jun 4,2006 7:38pm
actually most of their other stuff sounded drastically different (and better)

toggletoggle post by davefromthegrave  at Jun 4,2006 7:44pm
I don't like this band either.

toggletoggle post by tbone_r nli at Jun 4,2006 10:37pm
i really liked the silent circus, i just have no desire to hear any of these songs covered except for bicycle race...that has to be interesting.

toggletoggle post by mOe  at Jun 4,2006 11:08pm
the vocals on this cover cd are SO uninspired...you figure if they covered songs they all loved that they'd sound like the band gave a crap
