Anytime is a fine time for wine

yup...im a pansy

blackstone merlot for the time being, only because i haven't been able to find sacred stone around here anywhere(except for yankee spirits and that's far from walking distance for me)

toggletoggle post by davefromthegrave  at May 3,2006 10:25pm
anything Nando makes is great

toggletoggle post by Ryan_M at May 3,2006 10:42pm
i like white wine, but i don't care for red wine. i only have wine on holidays when we eat dinner!

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 3,2006 10:59pm
and then by 11pm, you have a raging headache.
the next moring, all you bodily fluids taste/smell like red wine and you have a horrible headache

toggletoggle post by davefromthegrave  at May 3,2006 11:01pm
that's not true for me, but I do wake up looking like I'm wearing lipstick.

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at May 3,2006 11:01pm
sounds to me like aaron needs to get in the habit of drinking more wine

i've downed 3 bottles peter steele style and woke up completely fine

ha! all the wine-drinkers should start an emo band and call it aidsen

toggletoggle post by davefromthegrave  at May 3,2006 11:12pm
the sediments from the wine apparently collect on my lips, or something. it's wierd and kinda gross.

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at May 3,2006 11:14pm
i dont know about sediments...but red wine stains anything

i know exactly what you mean though

toggletoggle post by davefromthegrave  at May 3,2006 11:19pm
I'm always too drunk to remember to brush before going to bed...that would solve the problem right there though, I'm sure

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 3,2006 11:30pm
when I get drunk on red wine, the next morning my head kills, I go to piss and I smell red wine.
I burp and smell red wine.
finally, I drop the kids off at the pool and guess what the cosby's been doing. you got it, drinking red wine.

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at May 3,2006 11:32pm
hahahahaha...puking red wine is the best

you're not much of a drinker though right?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 3,2006 11:36pm
nyet, my family is from russia kommrade, you tell me.

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at May 3,2006 11:40pm
well i don't really know you outside from here and like 3 shows

i didn't picture you as much of a drinker, at least

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 3,2006 11:46pm
I don't drink when I shoot cause I don't want to break things and I need to stay away. at home, I drink most nights. usually, I'm trying to get carina to get drink so I'd can do unholy things to her body with minimal struggle.

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at May 3,2006 11:50pm
haha...that's good logic right there

considering how sexy you are i figured you wouldn't need the booze though...i can only imagine the photo shoots you two have had hahaha *pulls collar*

neermind

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 3,2006 11:57pm
she gets really mad when I bring a camera near the bed. I tell her that I just want to test my new macro/close up flash, but it's a no go.

toggletoggle post by davefromthegrave  at May 3,2006 11:58pm
I changed my mind about being a dick

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at May 4,2006 12:11am
oh cmon dftg...you can be a dick all you want that's what the internet is for

that's terrible news aaron...it's funny how a conversation about alcohol invariably ends up about sexual relations

toggletoggle post by davefromthegrave  at May 4,2006 12:15am

ok fine...here's what I posted before

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at May 4,2006 2:18am

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 4,2006 2:39am
why don't you pull a "shudasaid"?

toggletoggle post by sacreligion at May 4,2006 3:37am
it wasn't my place

you'd figure after a bottle of wine sleeping would be easy...apparently that's not the case

fuck tossing and turning for multiple hours

toggletoggle post by Yeti at May 4,2006 10:35am
red wine is much better than white. i do like Sauvignon Blanc, but not as much as a good Cabernet or Merlot. a good bottle of cheap wine and a stick of Cracker Barrel cheese makes for a good night. my bro bought me a bottle of wine for x-mas, and he bought it because there was a forest on it that reminded him of something grim or kvlt, and surprisingly it was a very good wine. i cant for the life of me remember what it was, but it was a mix of cabernet, merlot and reisling i believe.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 4,2006 10:39am
yeti is just repeatibg words he heard in hannibal

toggletoggle post by Yeti at May 4,2006 10:41am
Hannibal Lecter has good taste. although Hannibal was boring as hell, i only watched it once. it was an unnecessary flick.

toggletoggle post by josh fucking hates you at May 4,2006 10:46am
i been to several wine tastings and vinyards and I must say i don't like "good" wine. gimme a $2 bottle of boones any day.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at May 4,2006 1:09pm
yeah i have noticed that myself. my dad is a "pro" wine taster, and of all the wines he goes after the cheapest one.

that's like the sacred stone stuff i mentioned earlier, sooooo good

btw aaron i woke up completely fine, which is a good thing cuz now i have to go job hunting

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 4,2006 2:24pm
maybe you would have a job if you weren't a wino

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at May 4,2006 2:28pm
good logic

i had a job til saturday when i decided to say "fuck the foodservice industry"

that place sucked

toggletoggle post by Egon at May 4,2006 2:39pm
I work at a winery, I'm pretty sure I get rewarded for being a wino.

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at May 4,2006 2:41pm

Get the wine without sulfates and you won't get a headache

toggletoggle post by kellthevalkyrie  at May 4,2006 4:36pm
I can appreciate red wine. I can really appreciate making Sangria.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at May 4,2006 11:47pm
Sangria is fucking awesome

recomend me some of that shit, I'm allergic to sulfites also. it's so hard to find wine without it.

toggletoggle post by Egon at May 5,2006 10:38am
Almost all wines contain sulfites. It is naturally produced by yeast during fermentation. In fact a lot of white wines contain far more sulfites than red. Red wine headaches due to sulfites are a myth.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 5,2006 10:44am
thanks egon!

you are wrong.

toggletoggle post by Egon at May 5,2006 11:46am

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 5,2006 11:48am
there are some whites with less sulfites and there are ones with more.
I drink lighter whites and stay away from dries.

toggletoggle post by davefromthegrave  at May 5,2006 11:53am
you can write down the words "the sky is never blue", and then you can write them down one million times more, but that won't stop the sky from being blue when I look up at it.

toggletoggle post by succubus  at May 5,2006 12:54pm
i love wine
both red and white...
whenever aaron and i travel ANYWHERE, I will find a winery and we usually wind up buying a case...Even when we're home we go to the local one.

Egon, which winery do you work at?

toggletoggle post by succubus  at May 5,2006 12:54pm
oh and i don't get headaches, but sometimes if i polish off a bottle i get sleepy!

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 5,2006 12:57pm
I can attest that you do get headaches sometimes from just one glass of wine. dont' lie.

toggletoggle post by succubus  at May 5,2006 2:05pm
it's yer talking that gives me headaches =)

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at May 5,2006 2:08pm
wine=good

toggletoggle post by largefreakatzero at Nov 8,2011 8:05pm
Bump for delicious red wine, reasonably priced for us raging alcoholics.

toggletoggle post by MetalThursday  at Nov 8,2011 8:23pm
Wegman's $6 wines selection has proven fruitful so far.

toggletoggle post by aliens at Nov 8,2011 10:54pm
Awhatup malbec. 2 buck chuck ftw.

toggletoggle post by Alx_Casket  at Nov 8,2011 11:42pm
Had some 2008 pinot from my travels to the willamette valley tonight with slar and others, deliciousness. Outpricing you plebes, sorry to say.

toggletoggle post by largefreakatzero at Nov 9,2011 8:52am
I consumed a bottle of Layer Cake Shiraz last night (along with beers before and after). Not cheap, but reasonable, and quite tasty.

toggletoggle post by AndrewBastard  at Nov 9,2011 9:00am
DISLIKE RED WINE

only pinot grigio is real.

toggletoggle post by Alx_Casket  at Nov 9,2011 9:50am
layer cake is alright, had some this past weekend at a wine tasting. *pinkies out*

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Nov 9,2011 9:53am
So thats why you left.

toggletoggle post by Alx_Casket  at Nov 9,2011 9:55am
that was earlier on saturday. I left early on sunday to check out Wahlburger's.

toggletoggle post by posbleak   at Nov 9,2011 10:04am
I like Liberty School Cab Sav but primarily I hate myself for forgetting what that fucking awesome dark-chocolate-and-vanilla-bean infused wine was called.

toggletoggle post by Alx_Casket  at Nov 9,2011 10:10am
Do you still have that golf score-esque card that they gave out?

toggletoggle post by ark at Nov 9,2011 10:11am
pinot noir treats me nicely

Hahaha of course not! I'll know it by the vacant stare adopted immediately after tasting.

My folks gave me a bottle of MacMurry pinot noir, it's rather amazing

Red wine every day. A favorite I discovered this summer- Roureda Llicorella. (From Spain) Goes great with a nice, juicy, medium rare steak. Or with chocolate. Mmmm steak.

On the cheaper side of things, any of you tried the "Bota" boxed wines? 1 box = 4 bottles. They're suprizingly good for boxed wine. And since the wine doesn't get exposed to the air, there's no rush to drink it all in one sitting. This is good news when I have to work in the morning.

toggletoggle post by arktouros at Nov 9,2011 1:36pm
wine in a bag totally rules. it's the best container for spirits.

toggletoggle post by largefreakatzero at Nov 9,2011 1:37pm
Sadly, I rarely rush or struggle to polish off a bottle.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Nov 9,2011 1:40pm
Those Bota ones are indeed good.
