Okay, so I read the whole thing, and they had been hanging out for some time, it wasn't like they had just met for the first time, and they had been at some concert, and he got really drunk and got mad when she decided to stay at the show with another friend instead of leaving with her.

Update on the situation:

Arrested, jailed, bonded out. Court date set.

This thing is being handled in the proper, mature, legal way. I'm sorry that's so difficult for some people to understand and accept. I'm sorry there wasn't some flashy public display of justice to end this.

STOP posting the bulletins and pictures. I appreciate the support, but it's unnecessary as things are being resolved.

My surgery last Monday went fantastically. Phenomenal doctors, amazing nurses. Lasted just under 3 hours. I have 3 titanium plates and 12 screws in my cheek now, and a really annoying metal splint on my nose (but only till Wednesday :p). No external scars - all the incisions were made inside my cheek on my upper gumline. The swelling's not even noticeable anymore, and the bruises are only a faint yellow. I'm healing a lot faster than I thought I would. The only thing that's awkward is that I have no sensation on half of the left side of my face (it feels like a corpse... soooo weird!) from the resulting nerve damage - but that will return with time. Pain comes and goes, but they gave me some good drugs to take care of that.

The best part... was cutting up a piece of meat... and chewing it last night. Sometimes we forget how exciting the simple things are until they're taken from us. =)
