I went to the New Bedford skatepark the other day and in the parking lot, their were like 30 Puerto ricans, standing in a circle taking turns boxing each other with gloves and shit,it was nuts, they werent holding back

Boxing is becoming very boring, and corrupt as hell.
Anyone that saw the Rahman/Toney fight would have to agree.

MMA is where its at.
They hug a little, but at least in the midst of that hug, there is potential for someone to snap someone elses arm in half, at any given moment.

I have to agree. I think if Toney had trained & gained muscle instead of fat, he would have destroyed Rachman

Boxing has been very corrupt since the begining.

yeah they're fast and throw twice as many punches as heavyweights but light weight punches are like mosquito bites. heavyweight is kind of boring but if a punch lands right, that can be fun.

Holy shit Toney lost that fight? I totally lost interest in the first round.

Well boxing I heard is very tiring even when you've trained like crazy for it. I think the reason why they hug is to give them a quick breather before someone throws an uppercut. Heavy weight boxing does suck. Most of those matches end in the first 2 rounds it seems which is probably around 6-7 minutes or something. The light weights are awesome and can fight for long periods of time and they're fast as hell.

UFC and Pride is way more entertaining than boxing. However, Hooker's got the right idea. Heavyweight fights aren't nearly as entertaining as a couple of 100 lb peurto ricans

[Rich reads entire thread.]

And a gay thread is made somehow gayer. Kudos.
