we just got back from seeing it..I had been waiting sooo long to see the movie Natalie Portman was happy to shave her head for and I thought it was AWESOME!

I will be getting the DVD once that's out as well and it will hopefully contain more cool stuff!

I thought it was pretty boring. I went with a group of 6 people and only myself and one other person was able to stay awake during it.

no way!!!
man..i gotta say though...we're watching the movie and I hear heavy breathing..I thought it was V just because he was breathing through the mask..anyhow...he starts talking and i can still hear the heavy breathing...I thought it was strange..so i whispered in aaron's ear.."can you hear that? isn't it weird.." and aaron tells me.."it's a man snoring behind us"

haha

I thought it was so good...went with a group of 7 guys and we all loved it. I'm definitely looking forward to the DVD too.

towards the end of the movie some guy walked in the theatre by himself and set 2 rows in front of us .. for about 5 minutes then left...not sure what that was about either

It was OK. I hadn't read the novel before hand...so I don't know which was better, but it was definitely overlong and the ending was dumb...the "spawn-esque" origin story scenes were lame, but I like movies that heavy-handedly mock the current political state of things, so in that sense it was somewhat entertaining

I'm surprised its doing as well at the box office as it is... its more of a movie that is based on the elements and is technically good rather than a major action film... I'd also say a good point of reference would be along the lines of a 1984/Neuromancer connection

did anyone else think this:

be honest

nope

I thought the movie was awesome sans the whole super power thing the guy had going on with his reflexs, and how come none of the guys with machine guns managed to shoot him in the face? Other than that I thought it was awesome, and it's pretty scary to think that that could be our future.

One thing I noticed, barnes and nobles has a christian section, a new age section, a jewish section, and an eastern faiths (hindu, buddist, taoist) but not even a single shelf for Islam??? I find that highly offensive if I was muslim, and still find it disgusting that the biggest bookseller doesn't even have a koran for sale, but they carry all kinds of shitty wiccan junk.

I am not Islam or anything but what the fuck, next thing you know it they will outlaw metal because some fucked up dime bag darrell fan will go shoot up a day care or something while blasting some red neck metal.

there are books on Islam, usually along with the books of eastern religions/philosophies. Trust me, there are plenty of books on Islam. I read a bunch of them for a class I took a year ago.

I should add...these books were found in major bookstore chains. And Islam is an "eastern faith" so there's really no injustice there.
