Deicide: Head South For a Slew of Shows, Hometown gigs and more

Florida's legendary death metal pioneer's Deicide will be heading to South America during the month of February. the band will launch their assault in Caracas, Venezuela on February 14th and will continue to march throughout much of South America including Brazil, Chile, Argentina, and Ecuador. The band are excited to bring their brand of crushing satanic metal to their always loyal fans within the southern hemisphere and have high hopes for these concerts in 2006. For a full list of shows and venues, please check Earache.com
In addition to the scheduled South American dates, Decide will be playing 3 dates in their own backyard of Southern Florida prior. It's been quite some time since the band has played before a hometown audience and are looking forward to bashing a few bibles and putting some right wing christians into an outrage. Take that one Jeb Bush!
Deicide's new live DVD "When Heaven Burns" is available in the UK and Europe currently and will see a US release on March 7th, 2006 in stores everywhere. The video features footage taken from a show at London's Mean Fiddler in 2004. A true classic show, this one will definitely be a sure-fire addition to any metalhead's dvd collection.
Deicide is also in the process of preparing and recording their new Earache records album, "The Stench of Redemption" which should see a May 2006 release. This album marks the first album with guitarists Jack Owen (ex-Cannibal Corpse) and Ralph Santorolla (ex-Death, ex-Iced Earth) replacing the long standing Hoffman brother guitar pairing. Be on the lookout, according to Glen Benton, "this record will have you shitting your pants and denouncing the faith like the days of old!"
