come and be one of the three people not associated with the other bands still standing around at 11:30 on a Tuesday or whenever we go on and I'll buy you a beer.

Just ask

easter bloodhounds: there were only two guys in this band. And since they had a movie playing behind/on them, I took the oppurtunity to play with no flash. The movie in the background was stock or documentary footage from the challenger shuttle. The funny thing was that their projector was bound up tighter than a black box. Its case was the most space-age thing in allston (and this is including that kid with the hoverbike). With only 2 people, the music was a little thin in some party, but was still over all good and entertaining. The singer's reminded me a lot of guy from fugazi so did some of the music, from the later album.

CRAP!
I totally have been putting off writing my review of the last 3 bands.
I need to get on that shit!

palace in thunderland: they are absolutely awesome. they have a very good melodic tone to their music. for anyone that likes the band mastodon and thin lizzy, they should definitely check this band out. a lot of times they sound just like mastodon with more of a 70's kick to it. compared with all the other bands that night, they had the most gear. the bass and 2 guitarists had a huge spread of knobs and pedals at their feet.

justice league, the: musical stile-wise, they were kind of the odd-band-out. their music was completely different that the others. they were more arty-punk-hardcore. like disengaged. the singer had a lot of energy and reminded me of the send that that band did at obriens the other week where the singer ended up on his head in a chair singing.

presley: for those of you who missed them the other night, you compeletely missed them this night. they sounded so much better and fuller than they have sounded before. they played the same basic 2 songs, but it had a harder edge to it.
