fucking ruled. cryptopsy didn't show up, apparently they were threatend by a biker gang and didn't cross the border. Their tires were slashed too or something...they'll be rejoining the tour in nyc tommorrow.

aborted was okay, they got a bad mix, couldn't hear the kick drums...

decapitated...finally they fucking played and ruled everything. no one compares to vogg's riffing. Can't wait to play with them on the 30th in Utica! ahhhhhhh.

vader was good as always, couldn't hear peter's vocals at all. word has it all the bands on the tour think they are a bunch of dinks. haha. decapitated/vader are sharing the same bus.

suffocation i've never seen sound bad, complex parts are always clear. always fucking heavy. John from dehumanized (who is driving aborted on this tour) came out and did some guest vox.

i wish i could have made it out yesterday, but bills prevented me. maybe i'll try getting out to utica on the 30th.

After all of this I guess none of the bands got paid because cryptopsy didn't show up or something. I heard everyone saying 100% deposit, no one is getting paid" but I don't know what that means. I guess the guy that books these tours (I forget his name) completely sucks and everyone hates him, but he's the only one who books these kind of tours. Mortician kicked his ass once for not paying them which is why mortician always gets paid now. haha.

100% Deposit, I would think that would mean it's just deposited into an account as opposed to having cash in hand. why does Cryptopsy not showing effect that so dramatically though?? I think their VA date is cancelled too...

yeah, so I guess 100% deposit means they'll get the money later, they probably just couldn't eat the other night which would still suck.

anyways, I am clueless as to details about the cryptopsy thing, but it would be interesting to know what happend...I'm actually kind of glad they didn't play because the show probably would have went on until 2.

I'm going to the show tonight! Yay! Yes, The Chance is a better club than BB Kings, but it sounds like there were some sound issues there. We'll see how the sound is tonight...

I am not sure on this,But it has happened a few times @ The bombshelter ....Sometimes when a headliner Don't show, the show itself is considered cancelled even thought the other support acts played, it is considered void of contract if 1 was signed,Therefore the club will refuse to pay the promoter and the promoter cannot pay the bands..The 100% deposit is that the club payed a deposit on the show and cannot get that back,The rest of the money would have been due on the completion of the show.Sounds like the club did not pay it because of no Cryptopsy.

That was a damn packed show, both in terms of how many bands played and the crowd turn out. Yea it would have gone til 2 if Cryptopsy played. And I have never seen the Chance that crowded... not even when Shadows Fall played last November. As much as it sucked that Cryptopsy didn't show, the show was still worth attending. I was on the guestlist but it would have been worth the $20 for such devastating performances. The other bands better get paid!

That sucks -- and there's really nothing you can do about it if an HA fucks with you. OK, so you kick a couple of their asses -- all it takes is one to hit the "friends and family" button on his cell phone, then you are fucked. Crappy.
