toggletoggle post by JayTUS nli at Oct 1,2005 1:59pm
They need to get Wakefield out of here. He simply doesn't have it.

toggletoggle post by BornSoVile   at Oct 1,2005 2:41pm
I fucking HATE Fox, put the game on will yah! I don't want to watch Chicago vs. Cleveland.

toggletoggle post by JayTUS nli at Oct 1,2005 2:50pm
That's what I was saying. And fucking Grady Francona is going to be a dollar short on this one. Love Wake, but he just doesn't have it today. And while I'm at it, fuck Kevin Millar. He fucking sucks.

toggletoggle post by i_am_not_logged_in at Oct 1,2005 2:50pm
Wow, WTF?

toggletoggle post by BornSoVile   at Oct 1,2005 2:52pm
Millar is garbage, I've wanted him off the team all year-then you get these people "ohh come on, he's so postive in the clubhouse, he's a nice guy" yeah but he fucking SUCKS!

toggletoggle post by JayTUS nli at Oct 1,2005 3:06pm
And that nice five pitch gift of an inning the Sox gave to Johnson pretty much may have put a nail in their coffin. They had him at 85 pitches and could have had him out of the game for the sixth, but nope, nice first pitch swinging pieces of shit at bats.

It's too bad Mike Stanton can't be on the post season roster. He looked good there. That first pitch to Cano was nasty. Where IntricateProcess to tell me you can't make a trade in September?!?!?!

toggletoggle post by JayTUS nli at Oct 1,2005 3:10pm
This is fucking bullshit, what the hell did that fag Millar do? Oh, struck out. Piece of shit.

toggletoggle post by BornSoVile   at Oct 1,2005 3:16pm
Where's Kalopsia so I can tell him "I FUCKING HATE THE YANKS"

toggletoggle post by JayTUS nli at Oct 1,2005 3:24pm
Graffy!!! Let's fucking go!!

toggletoggle post by BornSoVile   at Oct 1,2005 3:40pm
HEY JOE "THE FUCK" BUCK, I FUCKING HATE YOU, YOU'RE THE BIGGEST CUNT ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH. OH AND TIM MCCARVER, FUCK YOU TOO, YOU'LL NEVER BE JERRY REMY.

toggletoggle post by JayTUS nli at Oct 1,2005 3:45pm
WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT BULLSHIT?!?!?! HE WAS IN THE FUCKING GRASS!!!!

toggletoggle post by JayTUS nli at Oct 1,2005 4:19pm
Well, I guess I'll just say thanks for the help Chicago. Worst case scenerio, we play in a playoff on Monday...

toggletoggle post by wade at Oct 1,2005 4:37pm
glad i couldn't watch this game.

Millar is pretty useless.

toggletoggle post by wakeoftears  at Oct 1,2005 4:54pm
We still have a real good chance, but it fuckin SUCKS to see the goddamn Wankee's get the division again after we had the lead for so long and they started the season like 10 games back!

toggletoggle post by DomesticTerror at Oct 1,2005 11:06pm
i don't get this...if we win tomorrow then we tie for the division. then we would play one playoff game (in NY, based on the coin flip they had 2 weeks ago) to decide who gets 1st place. that's ALL they've been talking about on eei. How the fuck has NY clinched it? the rule is that you have a playoff game to decide the division, NOT a wildcard...that's what i've always thought. is there some new rule or some shit?

toggletoggle post by JayTUS nli at Oct 1,2005 11:12pm
New York gets the division because they won the head to head season series. No need for a playoff because if the Sox win, they are the Wild Card...

toggletoggle post by DomesticTerror at Oct 1,2005 11:20pm
it gets decided by the head to head? wow. it just doesn't seem that logical to me. they'll have a playoff game for the wild card monday, if necessary, but they won't have a tie breaker for two teams in the same division that have a tied record...

toggletoggle post by JayTUS nli at Oct 2,2005 8:34am
They don't have to. If the Red Sox win today, they are in the playoffs, and Cleveland can't make it. The only way they were having a playoff of any sort would have been if Cleveland and Boston finished with the same record, or if Cleveland won yesterday and the Red Sox won today. But because Cleveland lost yesterday, the only shot they have at the playoffs is a Red Sox loss paired with a win from them. But if the Red Sox win, they are in the playoffs. No need for a playoff to decide who wins the division because both teams are in the playoffs. Sure, it'd be nice to not have to hear "eight straight division titles," but I'd rather the guys get an extra day of rest.

On the flipside, winning the division sends us to Anaheim, while winning the Wild Card sends us to Chicago. We were 4-3 against the White Sox this year, and 4-2 against Anaheim, so while I don't think it will matter either way, the White Sox fell apart down the stretch and are pretty much realing, while Anaheim caught fire to come back and win their division. Maybe I should be careful what I wish for, but I gotta admit, having already won our World Series, it would be kind of cool to add to the White Sox misery, haha.

But that said, if Cleveland and the White Sox had ended up tied and they were both qualified for the post season, Chicago would have gotten the division and Cleveland the Wild Card because of head to head, and under that scenerio, if the Red Sox and Yankees finished tied, they'd play a tie breaker game Monday to see who won the division and who went home...

toggletoggle post by wade at Oct 2,2005 9:02am
why do they still interview Millar post-game? would you want to state anything publicly about your team if you sucked that bad? not me...

toggletoggle post by JayTUS nli at Oct 2,2005 10:05am
No Mike Mussina today, they are pitching Jaret Wright instead... don't know if that helps or hurts... they've both been pretty awful...

toggletoggle post by JayTUS nli at Oct 2,2005 11:58am
I am in a major pickle, and I don't know what to do. In order to watch the Patriots game here, I have to go to Hooters or one of the other local establishments of its sort, because the Jaguars are on at the same time, and it's a home game, but the Red Sox game is on ESPN. I am afraid that since it is Sunday, if I go to watch the Pats game, only football games will be on everywhere else. GRRRRRR....

toggletoggle post by wade at Oct 2,2005 11:59am
football, easy choice for me anyway.

toggletoggle post by DomesticTerror at Oct 2,2005 12:48pm
find some bar in a small chinese restaurant, who'll give you the clicker. that's what i do. god bless the China Garden...

toggletoggle post by JayTUS nli at Oct 2,2005 5:02pm
Well, we're in the playoffs... and fucking bad Pats game!!

toggletoggle post by wade at Oct 2,2005 5:38pm
the Patriots sucked royally today. not encouraging at all.
