i just saw this, Ocean has their demo for sale on Stonerrock.com, i just thought i'd post that and some of their reviews they got. not sure if anyone else posted this but i thought it was pretty cool. also i wish they'd hurry up and finish their new record or at least let me get a copy of the one they trashed.

Those lamenting the absence of Buried at Sea ought to look into Ocean. Not to say that this Maine four-piece is a clone, but they have the same mind crushingly heavy sound that rips through the fabric of time and space and turns your brain into a mound of foul smelling jelly. Ocean’s sound is otherworldly, so the band most likely had demonic help in crafting their sound. They’re doom for people who like to spend lazy Sunday afternoons looking at crime scene photos. Awesome stuff.

Heavy, epic. A blend of Isis, Confier and Pelican, with the feedback of Grief and Fleshpress.

he was surprised I think.

I wanted to do Ocean's record, but alas I was alittle late.

the new rough mixes from the Bandsaw Labs sessions sound pretty damn killer.
even the old Volume Studios mixes sound awesome as well. and, no, I won't leak them.

Thanks for the kind words. The record is DONE, It's getting mastered Sept 6, then straight to presses. It's called "here where nothing grows"We are really happy with it. It's sheduled for realease in NOV. We got some pretty good distro, so Bug the dudes at your local record store to preorder acouple hundred copies. SoMa unfortunatly was too busy to do the layout, so we came up with something ourselves, it's pretty cool. Silver foil print on black digi pack. We're working on booking 2 release parties(Boston/Portland) for the end of Nov. We are also talking to a small label in Chicago that is interested in doing a small repressing of the demo, with new art and a bonus track, and we're talking about doing a split 10' with Village of Dead Roads which will hopefully be out by the beging of next year... that's the basic update. Hope you guys dig the record.
