I have this pod that a friend gave me but it doesnt work. Plug it in. No power nothing. It might be as easy as replacing the AC plug but if its not can someone direct me to a repair shop.

That is a pod. These things are basically a computer. I have a Line 6 HD head which is a computer + 200 watts. I think they pretty much have to send these back to Line 6 to be repaired unless you can find someone with a computer engineering degree. I'm not altogether sure as I have not blown mine up yet.

I can repair it in my POD repair shop. We have 7 full time POD techs working 24/7 on those pesky things. We do have a 3 week wait due to our POD shop being by far the busiest ever. Please dial 800-FIX-A-POD and we'll get you on the list asap.

this is the only pod you will ever need.
Ever.

toggletoggle post by RustedAngel at Aug 4,2005 12:19pm
tim gave me his for a while, the ac jack was touchy and you had to wiggle it around to turn it on. Eventually I opened it up and put tape in it to hold the jack in the right spot, at some point it just never turned on anymore. junk.

a marshall's don't have headphone jacks last time I checked.

Thanks. I'm using it for my computer at home to record with. I got the thing for free so what the fuck.

toggletoggle post by WhyamIandasshole   at Aug 4,2005 12:29pm
The AC jack seems fine it doesnt move at all. I think its probably the plug. Or it could be a fuse if there is one in it.

Wich model?

Just because Venom did not use Line 6 rigs, does not mean they are not good. So there.

My pod has been faithful to me for almost 6 years now.
I love it.
I had a Marshall and it broke. ALOT. 3 x in 6 months.

toggletoggle post by largefreakatzero at Aug 4,2005 2:07pm
I have had my Line 6 Head with matching full-stack for about 3 or 4 years and no problems.

I'm not sure. I know its an older one.

I love a good Marshall but I cant plug a Marshall into the back of my computer and expect it to sound good.

It may be the fuse. I'm about to attempt the same repair on a Bass Pod Pro. I can take a look at yours if you'd like me to.

find out the model for me and I'm sure I could help.

I've got a bass pod and a guitarport. Some people like the sounds of the pods, some people dont, but it's the best bang for the buck of any musical gear I've ever owned. Incredibly versatile gear, both sonically and how it can be implemented.

To answer you question, theres a list of service centers on thier website, but most just swap it out or send it out to be fixed.

On a POD note, go to this site. www.myspace.com/tesseract - most of these clips were recorded with an ENGL powerball. One was recorded with a line6 potxt. Without cheating, could you really tell much difference between them? Enough to be able to grasp the $1800 price difference?

I know but I won't tell you
