the rock isnt too bad of an actor, but if i was directing this movie, i would go all out for a rated R version just to do the videogame justice and throw in an awesome b-movie actor for the lead role like rutgur hower, (dont think i spelled that correctly). i dont care about the rock kicking ass, i just want to see demons and hellspawn tearing people apart, and a rutger hower with a big ass gun kicking some ass

ahh you're right. It says film not yet rated. In all the interviews they said they were going for an R rating. hmm.

I guess it's quakecon footage. At the beginning they show the audience the doom trailer that will be in theaters in a few weeks.

I fast forwarded. About 26 minutes in there's some more movie footage of the first person sequences. The set they built looks exactly like the game, plus it's ridiculously violent.

but the rumors were false because it's pretty obvious they're basing it off the story of the games.

Except for how the movie follows a pattern of spending tons of time being in a dark room looking for monsters/shit happens/everyone meets up/splits up/rinse and repeat. And anything any actor said in this movie was completely silly.

I havent been able to beat the boss in Doom 3

The DOOM Movie(tm) was no worse than any other Hollywood offering.

It was just less glib about concealing its shortcomings.

I fell asleep during the last bit of it.
