they are pissed because no one wants to shell out about 16 bucks for a one hit wonder anymore. i download a TON of music and i get albums before hand illegaly BUT i still buy the damn album when i have the money. i go to shows for all sorts of bands that i discovered... ohhh... guess where... ONLINE FROM P2P NETWORKS like KAZAA. i would have never discovered half of the music i listen to now if it wasnt for p2p networks. also another thing about song swapping. i am in a couple of low level bands... we STRIVE on this type of internet exposure. it gets people to book us for shows and buy merch. personally... i dont care if i make money from record sales because thats not what i want out of music. i like going to new places and performing and meeting new people. its all about a good time. whether the RIAA likes it or not... p2p has made a whole new world of possibilites and chances for underground bands that would have never been possible before if it wasnt for Napster and the likes. so these guys can eat my shit encrusted open asshole on a 104 degree sunny day.
do you listen to any music from the riaa, ascap, and bmi?
I didn't think so.
shitty music
