OH NO NOT AGAIN!!

"Current mood: horny

ok so here's the deal, Invocation Of Nehek is currently looking for a bass player.

We want to weed out some of the 'no way in hell are
you playing in our band' type of people, so with
that we've come up with a set of guidelines and
prerequisites for potential bass players.

- First and foremost you have to be solid, not
amazing, although amazing would be great, but at
very least solid, with a good understanding of your
instrument, we have no time to teach you how to
play bass. We want BASS PLAYERS!! Not guitar
players that think they know how to play bass, or
any thing that might be similar to that.

- Second, you NEED road worthy gear, our shit is
pretty loud and your gear has to keep up, aside
from merely keeping up, it should probably sound
good too, I know that’s a lot to ask for, but we
aren't in the market to have 1/5 of our band sound
like an anal explosion. If you are a REALLY good
bass player, and you don't have great gear right
off the bat, that’s fine, but you should at very
least have the expectation of obtaining decent gear
SHORTLY after joining.

- A positive attitude is a must, if you think
everything sucks, than find another band, an open
mind and positive thinking is welcome, anything
short of that, don't bother. Also leave your ego at
the door, we are looking for down to earth people
willing to work hard, and have fun, it is possible
to do both at once. If you are dedicated than the
work part, no matter how shitty things get, should
still be fun.

- Location and Transportation. We live in Central
CT, so if you live in CT, you HAVE to have a car,
if you live 5 minutes from New Britain or
Wethersfield, we can probably work something out,
anyone else needs a car. If you are not from CT and
are willing to relocate, that’s fucking awesome!
However you have to be able to support yourself,
and finance your move to CT. We are in no position
where we can afford to support your move and living
expenses while you are in transition. According to
statistics, CT is one of the most expensive states
in the country to live in, especially when you are
working a shitty job, so if you reeeeaaaalllly want
to relocate, know that it isn't going to be easy,
and you will probably need outside help, i.e.:
parents or some shit feeding you cash.

- Flexibility. We all have jobs, and or school, so
you need to have a job that allows you to get
weekends off, and to tour. I'm not talking 2 weeks
vacation pay, I mean you need to have a job that
will let you leave for 3 weeks or so and than let
you come back, only to do it again a couple weeks
to a month later. If you live with your folks than
cool, but you need to be able to tour, regardless
what your situation is, if you can't tour, than
don't bother.

- Age. You need to be at least 18, not that we'll
turn away a 17 year old, however, you need to have
a situation where your parents aren't affecting
your availability. High school kids need not apply.
Ideally, we are looking for someone 20 or older.

- If you currently find nu-metal acceptable in
anyway shape or form, than forget it. Get a new cd
collection and burn your hot topic clothes and then
we'll talk.

- Sure you're a solid bass player, sure you can
play our existing songs, but can you write??? You
should be comfortable enough in your abilities to
write your bass lines, and bring something new to
the table, this is a collaborative effort and you
have to be able to hold you own.

These are the only things I can think of right now,
but pretty much, these are the most important,
anything else is just nit picking, aside from
weeding out hacks, we are generally easy going
guys, that are more than reasonable and patient
with people, if we come off as dicks in this, it's
just to cut the fat and get to the people that
really want to play.

If feel that you understand those guidelines and
can fit all that, than definitely drop us a line at:

Wow, when I first glanced at this, I thought it said "TON seeks bass player". I thought Peter Steele's spot was open.
