interesting shit
the only fish i recognize is the last one. its an anglerfish. it usually has that little glowing thing on the top of its head to attract prey. kind of like a fishermans lure |

That is fucking hilarious! |
awww it's a hoax?
damn it i was stoked on this. It was really fucking interesting. |
well, its a hoax in the sense that they werent actually washed up from the tsunami; but they are all in fact real deep-sea creatures...they were just gthered from a 2003 expedition. besides, if tou watch discovery channel, none of this shit is new to you |
I've seen some weird deep-sea creatures, but this shit is insane. I've never seen something like the ridiculous black, shiny, eel, fish thing and some of that other stuff. Crazy, even if it doesn't have anything to do with the tsunami. |
those chuckle-bunches are SO CUTE! |

sea monsters...awesome! angler fish are the coolest |
this one looks like afterbirth with fins
that is cool...you dont get to see those things like that unless your dumb ass is in a submarine...... I wonder how a tsunami pulled them up from that deep of water. ALIENS DO LIVE IN THE OCEAN |
Aliens also live in Revere |

We have eternity to know your flesh . . . |
Holy shit those are creepy. |

i meant italians, sorry for the mix up |
that is pretty wild. So I assume those are species never before discovered? |
now THIS one definitely looks like The Engineer, from Hellraiser (chases Kirsty down the hall when she first opens Le Marchand's puzzle box) |
this is awesome! too bad they didn't find a giant squid, though I bet it would take much more than a tsunami to uproot one of those things.
I want to see an undersea battle, sperm whale vs. giant squid. it would make my day/life.
moby dick + mastodon's leviathan + smoking a bowl = good way to spend a rainy day |
ARRRRRR, me mate-y!
I just wanted to sample ye pipe tobacc-ee! |
arr! 'tis top-grade Bali shag, traded me last 4 limes to a three-toothed dwarf for it! little did he know i'm immune to scurvy |
hahaha, this makes me want to watch "Cabin Boy" |
i actually haven't seen that movie. does it have the requisite "it's your turn to be in the barrel today" joke? |
Haha the cup cake in the sky that spits tobbaco at the "fancy lad" is the best part of the movie |
I don't remember but the memorable quote for me was: "She'll clean yer pipes six ways to Sunday!" |
a tobbaco-spitting sky cupcake AND a fancy lad?? now i have to see this |
HAHA
The cup cake beats that |
paganmegan said: Haha the cup cake in the sky that spits tobbaco at the "fancy lad" is the best part of the movie |
oh YEAH HAHAHA! then it flies away mumbling, "what a cute kid" |
Whats the name of the half shark half man? |
a couple of those pics i saw online (while doing a research paper for my Oceanography class) before the tsunami happened. but either way some of trhose things are fucking insane. |
im a nerd so i also know that fish that live that deep where the pressure is so intense, their bodies have adapted to that, therefore the pressure on the inside of those fish is the same on the outside. so for fish to be swept up from 1000m deep in the sea, they would explode by the time they reached the surface since the pressure difference is too great for them to handle. |
somebody call 911, 'cause we got a dead buzz on the premises. |
that first one kinda looks like my mom |

so are you saying those are not deep sea creatures...should they have exploded to paste before reaching the surface...if so how did these ones make it....this is a serious question... im not being sarcastic..... |

Clearly you havn't read this thread in its entirety. The fish are in fact deep sea creatures, but they were not swept up by the tsunami, they were discovered in a 2003 expedition. And everything arsonick said is 100% correct. |
Hmmm, on overviewing my post I seem a bit hostile. No hostility was intended \m/ |
ahhh i guess i didnt read in its entirety...in fact i do know that those are deep sea creatures...but arsonics point on the presure fact is true...so i was wondering if the tsunami did this or not...i dont have time to read it all...!! |
no harm done...i didnt think those creatures could survive somthing like that...but yet...how did they survive anyway on the surface for those pics to be taken........hmmm |
so assuck started a false tsunami thread ...hmmm |

If you bring them up very slowly they don't explode because their bodies become acclimated to the change in pressure |

I hate squid. I can't fucking stand how they look. |
BobNOMAAMRooney said: I hate squid. I can't fucking stand how they look. |
They can be fucking creepy man. I think there is an actual term for the fear of squid. |
Hahaha, dude, you should read Sphere. |
there's a term for fear of peanut butter |
dendrophilia means you are atracted to trees and shrubs. giant squid's eyes are 11 inches in diameter. deep sea octopi are nicknamed dumbo, because they have flapping ear-like fins that help them navigate. |
there's a term for fear of vaginas |
what about vagina spiders? |
