2 of the members were once in umbrella... or pre-umbrella... as for republican punk hardcore... i guess so... i wouldn't put republican in there, but if you want to go for it...

Smart Bombs And Apple Pie are strongly influenced by punk as well as metal and hardcore and tend to vote republican when in the ballot box
