Is there someone you will miss seeing this holiday?
I won’t be seeing my mother for this Christmas for the 1st time ever this year and it just really hit me last night. She passed away in September at a young age (59 to me is young). I wasn’t very close to her and we had a difficult relationship, but last night I realized that I won’t ever have the chance to say or do things I should have….
So, I started this thread for those who may have someone they will miss or wish they could see…..
Yeah...My Grandmother was one person that always had so much Christmas spirit. Every Christmas for years I always looked forward to seeing her and my Grandfather for the holidays. She just seemed to embrace it better than anyone else I know. She passed away 5 years ago last week. Her Birthday would have been yesterday. So I guess Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday Grandma!!
i will miss my grandfather who died in 2001 and was my hero.
i will also miss my friend derek who died in the station fire and my friend justin who drowned over the summer.
sorry to hear about your mother. i have an awkward relationship like that with my dad and i am hoping some day we can find some common ground and become friends while he is alive.
Xmas 1998 sucked...i didn't celebrate it since my dad passed in april 1997
i honestly haven't really celebrated until 2001 when i was living here and my mom came to visit and spent it with me which was nice

I can tell you from experience, do it while you can!
i miss a lot of people in my family which has become significantly smaller in the last few years. i used to look forward to visiting all my grandmas' houses and seeing people i hadn't seen in years and wierd aunts telling me i look just like my mom... it just isn't the same without a gynormous family. my family is still big, but not as big as it used to be.
specifically my best friend who died a week after her 21st birthday, we were friends since 4 years old... i miss her everyday, especially now.

My dad died on my 8th birthday which was 25 years ago this year(oct 30) I really have not celebrated my b-day or x-mas since then, end of oct to the beginning of the year is usually a rough couple months for me.
