NEWTON, Mass. (AP) -- An MBTA Green Line trolley car has derailed in Newton, injuring one passenger and disrupting service.
A spokesman for the transit system says two trains came into contact on an outbound track around 10 a.m. The accident occurred about 300 feet east of the Newton Centre station on the Green Line's "D" branch.
Spokesman Joe Pesaturo says the injury to a female passenger on one of the trains was not believed to be serious.
Riders are being temporarily bused between the Reservoir and Riverside stations.
DAMN!!!! i take this damn trian everyday and it fucking sucks having to take the bus from riverside to newton highlands then catch the train. You would think my and everyone elses $3 will fix the fucking tracks. geez. and i have to go into boston later tonight. grrr....
