I was terrified the first time I saw this...doesn't have much of an effect on me anymore. Something about demonic possession hits a chord for some reason...Didn't the actress who played the little girl go insane as a result of this movie?

Yea Linda Blair didnt go crazy she just ended up in softcore porn and bad movies after The Exorcist. That new release is ok but i like the old one better. I thought all the shit they added was unnecessary and took away from most of the creepiness.
