I just stepped in the door from this show.
had to stop for food...
the electric house was weird... I felt like I drank some electric kool-aid
Pictures will be up soon.

a few things before I review:
1) sorry for overexposing things, I'm still learning with this new camera
2) I can't hear out one ear at all right now so remember that when reading my review
3) the electric house was probably one of the coolest places ever. It's like a big frat house that's been shut down and now kids live in it and have all this weird stuff (huge chairs, a guillotine). I wished that I lived there. And they put on shows in these HUGE rooms.
4) out of all the bands, failsafe, umbrella, and the drummer for titd have played on my radio show, the last two in the passed two weeks.

the failsafe device: so I finally got to see them live (besides in my radio show). Unfortunately, they didn't have all 3 singers, but it was still really good. I like how chris holds up fingers for which track to play. I didn't hear any new songs though.

newandyke: duel singers, my first time seeing them. I didn't really know any of the tracks, except the one I remember from mp3.com which sounded pretty much right on with what I remember.

dying in sin: they seemed a little tired or something cause they were right on. Maybe they were just pissed and wanted more people to dance or that one of the guitarists' guitar kept coming unplugged. I just realized tonight that the live vocals remind me of btbam. this was my 3rd time seeing them so I actually knew 1/2 the songs.

umbrella (ex-n'sync): good show, though they had the lights off so I had to manual focus. Also, it might have been my messed up ears, but I couldn't hear the low vocals at all, just the high squeals. great set, but I wished I could have heard all the vocals.

beyond the sixth seal: I guess Mike (guitar player from The Red Chord) is the new vocalist of btss. I had no idea it was him or that that amazing voice on the new btss could come from him. Last time I saw them (Jun 17, 2001), it was some other guy. Anyhow, they played a bunch of tracks from the new cd; it rocked. Lucky for me, I've been listening to the new cd over and over.

today is the day: I didn't believe it when someone said both the beard and the hairs was gone, but rev. steve austin is clean cut now... though... he looks like someone from TV...

Am I right? Whatever, the set was tight and powerful. I have to get these guys in to play on my radio show. It was absolutely overwelming and left you numb. They ripped through and hour long set, at the end, I couldn't believe that an hour had gone by. I was curious how they would play most of the stuff from sadness, but it's done with a tape player in rev austin's head. everyone needs to see titd before they die...

BTSS is so damn good. I'm fucking pissed I missed that show. WHy are they no longer on the metalfest?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Mar 30,2003 11:09am
as far as they know they are on metalfest.

They aren't on the list anymore.
