What, were you guys dumb enough to play one of those showcase nights that hasn't drawn more than 25 people since 1979? Awfully hypocritcal of you to rag on other peoples bands when you can't even get on a real show at CBGB.

Pay to play is fucked and jewish. End of story. If you're a club and you make bands sell tickets to play there, you are a greedy asshole who doesn't know enough about music to run a successful business without ripping off kids by preying on their dreams.
If you're a band that agrees to pay to play, fuck you for perpetuating such a fucked up system, break up now. You're too chickenshit to start your own scene so you buy into some jewbag's scheme to make money. Do shows in your basement, garage, or backyard if you have to. Do not let club owners who are only in it for the money control the scene. I've met Serge. He doesn't know a goddamned thing about metal, punk, or hardcore. That he hired a guy from CSDO to be his #2 is proof of that.
No band that has paid to play has ever gone anywhere.
