It's been so long since I was nuts over Cryptopsy that I'd have to make an effort to really get back into them, but I'll check these songs out in a little bit. I remember kids used to flip their lids over these guys, they were one of the pillars of death metal through ATYB. You could sense they were struggling to "hang on" around the time of None So Live which was a good effort with its vocalist. But the fall from grace for them in the last decade was maybe the biggest downward spiral for any major death metal band. Lately it was looking like when the history of death metal gets written, Cryptopsy would be reduced to just a footnote when once they were demigods. They have an uphill battle to get back up in the pantheon.
