I actually think this could be breakout season for Clay, but I think by the trade deadline, the Sox WILL be gunning for A-Gon. If they get him, Youk goes to third, Beltre gets traded and Lowell goes as well unless Papi is hitting like shit, so he becomes their back-up DH. The Sox could be in a better position to trade this season if more of their prospects mature this year and a few others that had down years, like Lars Anderson, bounce back. The Padres have to trade him soon otherwise, he's gonna walk in 2011 and they'll have dick to show for it. The Red Sox are their best chance to get young prospects to rebuild with. If they can get a dude that I'd bet money will be crushing 50+ home runs a season with the Sox and not have to give up as much as the Padres asked for last season, pull the trigger.
