That shit kills me. I always get calls from people trying to DIY stuff like that for their presentations. Blows my mind that even though they spent years on research, and hours on their presentation they're willing to half ass all the technical details.

I was staffing this big all day event once, and one of the organizers wanted to play music from her iPod through the PA system. I said no problem I'll just DI box it into my mixer. She was absolutely insistent that she play it through an iPod dock which I would be standing and holding next to an open microphone. I wanted to put her in the million dollar dream until she went limp.
