i just checked this out moe, you should be looking about 300-350 (OEM NEW) for the radiator itself depending on the model of your car. and only about an hour or so to put it in. i looked up springfield, mass in our system and it came up with 35 bucks an hour. he might be charging you at a mechanical rate which is about 30-40 bucks more than the normal body rate. but yea man, your kinda gettin jipped. my trainer also told me that most of the time you can find an aftermarket or an lkq (recycled) radiator for about 100 bucks.

are you getting this done at the actual dealership you got the car?
