So I just finished building the new system I put together off Tiger Direct. It was my first complete build from the ground up. I ran into a couple issues last night, but when I woke up this morning I fixed them pretty easily. I guess I was too stoned last night.

Specs:

GeForce 7950GT overclocked 512mb
2 Gig of matched corsair ram 800mhz
Core2Duo 2.4 ghz processor
320 gig Harddrive (because having to format 500Gig often is GAY)
600W Ultra PSU with 2 fans, SLI ready
Apevia case with UV lights, fan control, and 3 fans
Decent MSI mobo (gonna upgrade eventually, not SLI ready and no firewire)
All in one media reader
HP DVD burner with Lightscribe

I finished moving all my data over from my old system. The porn and music folders took hours, but it was still twice as fast as it would have been on my old computer. I installed all my software, including my first LEGAL copy of windows I've ever had. Seriously, service pack 2 excites me.

Anyhow, I figured now that everything is installed, I'd give it a test spin. The only game I have all ready to go right now is World of Warcraft. The game is all self enclosed in a single file, so while all my other games are still downloading or installing, I just had to move the WoW folder from one drive to another and I was done.

Before this new system, I would run WoW at around 4-7FPS in busy areas, and a max of 20FPS in less stressful places. This was with the graphics set at about 70% or so. I figured with this new card, I'd be able to get a good 60-80FPS if I was lucky. I launched the game, and immediately hit 200 fucking FPS on my old settings. I maxxed out everything, and still got a consistent 70-100 FPS. I'm definitely surprised. Now my only problem is, WoW doesn't really do much for me anymore. I'm just about done installing Supreme Commander and Guild Wars, and plan on picking up F.E.A.R. and Oblivion in the next few weeks. I love finally having a system that I can play good games on.

I'll post pictures of the sick case later, after it gets dark out. There's a huge sliding door in my living room, so you can't see the lights as well in the daytime.
