Thanks for the rant, dude. I'll keep that in mind while MY dogs are enjoying themselves on Saturday retrieving farm-raised pheasants that are shot for sport on a private shooting preserve. I know you animal rights folks ESPECIALLY hate that shit.

I don't especially hate that, If anything I especially hate people buying a bucket of KFC chicken, that's the worst in my opinion. People who hunt their food aren't making anyone's life suck, they're just ending it, which is perfectly natural. I do, however, think those hunting places where they basically let a bunch of whatever you want to kill out of a cage into the "wild" so you can "hunt" it are fucking lame. I don't know what private shooting preserve means, but if it's one of those places then yes, that's pretty weak. Hunting for sport in general is pretty weak.

there's also a BIG difference between using animals for a purpose.. like food as it is an important factor in the food chain .and killing/ torturing them for pleasure

There is probably a big difference in the type of people reponsible for each, but there is no difference to the animal subjected to it. If you lived on a factory farm, you probably wouldn't feel better knowing you'll be eaten after you die, and the dog dragged behind that car is way luckier than the average farm chicken. I don't think eating animals in inherently wrong, but there's no instance of factory farming that I think is okay.
