Granted the guys in BDM are quite talented - If I had that kind of talent, I still wouldn't play in a band like that, I don't care if they play Ozzfest and make a ton of money. Ripping off "Slaughter..." era At the Gates and "Heartwork" era Carcass doesn't mean it's good. Let's see, a few bands that have played metalfest in the past: Suffocation reunion Obituary reunion Hypocrisy Hate Eternal Necrophagist Cannibal Corpse Deicide Cephalic Carnage Pig Destroyer Cryptopsy (with lord worm) The Haunted Immolation Origin skinless Dying Fetus Misery Index Meshuggah Behemoth Cattle Decapitation Superjoint Ritual Nile Severe Torture Deeds of Flesh ETC. Okay - so a FEW good bands have played the fest, but you always have to sit through a bunch of screamo kids whining about heartache and breakups and then sit through more xxXTUFFGUYXCOREXMOSHXxx garbage before someone like Deeds of Flesh takes the stage. By the way I counted 11 bands in that list that suck. So while your sitting at your local Elks Lodge trying to out underground each other on April 27 and 28th....I'll be at the Palladium, drunk and happy ... like every other New England Fest past. HORNS I'd rather be confined to my house where I can download good music, watch TV, and jerk off as much as I want than waste my time and money hanging out at the New England Hardcore and Screamo Festival.
