weird... like everyone smoke the chibba.
ignite the will
: I was walking in and I thought their was just a CD on, but in fact it was this band. The sound was pretty quiet. I could have almost stood around with no earplugs on. They sounded sort of like since the flood. When I got in the entire place was a gigantic rainbow of people. Obviously, some moshing had been going on. There was a little bit during the rest of their set, but mostly, it just ended with Will (dysentery) having a dumb fight with 18 people.
mammon machine, the
: they took along time to set up. Especially when it's only 2 dudes and some electronic gear. The mix was pretty bad. Aaron's vocals were 90% inhales so he had to have the mic cranked. This caused a lot of feedback during their set. The guitar also seemed to change volumes a lot and wasn't nearly loud enough. That's basically all the negative stuff I could think of. Now, the samples were awesome. Some of them reminded me of the ambient stuff that in dire need is doing (newest CD). Aaron's vocals went from inhales to screams easily and quickly. The inhales reminded me of the pitch-shifted gore-grind I've seen at the past few MDF, but he wasn't pitch shifted at all. The guitar riffs on the other hand reminded me of some of the best riffs that deicide had pulled out over the years. I think once these guys get a drummer set for live shows, they are going to be loved by people who like porphyria and in dire need.
