The Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie Film for Theatres to Debut This Fall

Having conquered the worlds of television, consumer products and home video, Adult Swim mega-franchise Aqua Teen Hunger Force makes its big screen debut this fall. The Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie Film for Theatres will debut in September.

The Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie Film for Theatres is an action-adventure epic that tackles the mysterious circumstances that brought Meatwad, Frylock and Master Shake together. An immortal piece of exercise equipment threatens the balance of galactic peace, and it is up to the Aqua Teen Hunger Force to run away from it. Complicating matters, the Plutonians team up with the Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past for ultimate control of the deadly device. Spanning the globe, outer space and even time itself, The Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie Film for Theatres will be released this fall.

The Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie Film for Theatres was written and produced by Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis. It is based on their successful Adult Swim series. Reprising their roles in the movie will be Willis (voice of Carl, Meatwad and Ignignokt) and Maiellaro (Err, Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past), Dana Snyder (Master Shake), Carey Means (Frylock), Andy Merrill and Mike Schatz (The Plutonians). Guest stars including Larry Blackmon and T-Man of platinum-selling funk band Cameo, Neil Peart of power trio Rush and Bruce Campbell lend their voices to The Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie Film for Theatres. Phil Collins and Schoolly D provide music for the film.

The animated television series Aqua Teen Hunger Force made its debut in September 2001 on Adult Swim, Cartoon Network’s sister network featuring animation for adults. Frylock, Master Shake and Meatwad are human-sized food products who live together in a rental house in New Jersey. Usually short on money and bored, they often hang out in their neighbor Carl’s above-ground swimming pool. Other times, they create destructive schemes to enrich themselves or tangle with enemies sinister, odd, confused and just plain annoying. Things get blown up and set on fire quite often. It is among the highest-rated programs on Adult Swim, and is regularly ranked as one of basic cable’s most-watched series with young adults.

To date, more than 60 episodes of the series have been produced. More than one million Aqua Teen Hunger Force DVDs have been sold. A video game based on the show will be released in 2007.

An official release date and distribution plans for The Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie Film for Theatres will be announced later.
