ok, I wrote a big review for the first 3 bands... but then I lost it, lame. so here's my resurrection what I thought.

oh, there was a lady calling serge satan too.

dementianon: this band was, by the end, much better then when I saw them at valentines. very good NYDM with a touch of slam. the beginning was missing the vocals hard. I got BSV to yell for them to be turned up, but then they didn't get fixed for another song or so. I thought their set was pretty long, they got 1/2 which was awesome for a 5 band show. the singer kind of ran around not knowing what to do and double timing the headbanging. reminded me of when martin was on stage with cryptopsy years ago on the first tour. also, I thought that is dehumanized ever needed a singer in a pinch, this guy could probably fill in.. I'm not saying he would replace jon, but I think he could do a decent job.

superchrist: I walked in to thier set and it was really echoy. I thought that their might be a lack of bodies there so the sound wasn't absorded, but was bouncing around and empty room. I spun the corner coming in and there were plenty of people there, but it was still echoy. there was a bunch of feed back on the stage. some sound girl went up after a song or two and swapped the mics. then it sounded better. they played right to the 1/2 hour, but it seemed like their set was still short.

watchmaker: at some point during their set, mark said "one more" he was obviously lying cause they played for like another 15 minutes after that. the whole front of the crowd was pumping their fist in the air. I couldn't get good pictures of the other side of the stage.. it seemed like they were turned around ass facing the crowd for almost the whole set.

chasm, the: I've seen these guys a few times and they were awesome. this was by far the best show I've ever seen them play. high energy and a great performace over all. the some how, they are now located in chicago.. I don't know if that was a joke or not. One of the best parts when the latino bands come around is all the latino metalheads come out to support them. I sort of wish these kids would come out to all the shows, but whatever. I didn't really understand what daniel would say in spanish into the mic, but when he did, the crowd would yell back spanish.
josh: the bassist was george velaetis from some band called DARKNESS ETERNAL.. I don't know them.

sabbat: when they first came out, I thought "wow, how funny", two asian dudes. one with girl's clothes and one with a leather thong. then they started to play and I thought to my self, man, this sucks. the first song or so had horrible vocals, guitar work that didn't match anything that was going on on the stage. I really thought to myself, I'm out of here. but after that, they got really good. the singing evened out and the guitar came into the mix. the bass player spoke like 3 words (guitar, drummos, etc..) of what I think was english so he just yelled japanese non-sense and people cheered. they sounded a lot like some band and I can't put my finger on it... it was the way that the guy dressed like an 80's chick was singing.
