This band featured members of sic.semper.tyrannis as a side project. The original line-up was:

Jason Voorhees (aka me) - Guitar
Optimus Prime - drums
PatrickFace - vocals
KissyChris - vocals

in the beginning we started the band as something to do when Patrick Connors (later of The Cignal) was getting out of work. He was really the only one with a job. Chris and PatrickFace came up with the idea and asked me to play guitar, and thus the band was formed.

At one point Pat Connors was in the band on bass, but on this recording (recorded live at BenFestm an annual birthday party for my friend Ben that kept getting put on for like 5 years) he wasn't. He starts the group chant of "We Love Turbo-Charged Dog!" at the end though.

Optimus Prime was Brian Viglione, now of Dresden Dolls. On this mp3, he had left the band to join Asciento, as well as having left SST. When he left SST, we looked for a new drummer for several months and eventually Chris and Pat Connors lost interest, so the band dissolved. PatrickFace still wanted to do KF, so I carried on with him. We went on to play with a fest with Seven Day Curse with a fill in drummer, Pepe, who was later in Ruby Lashes and I think is in The National Blue right now, but I'm not sure.

Pepe is Optimus Prime on this recording.

All KissyFaces songs were 100% cuss word free. They were grind and death metal songs, sometimes sludge songs, that had puerile love poems as lyrics.

The words to this song go:

Turbo-Charged Dog
Coming into town
Turbo-Charged Dog
Gonna take The Werewolf down
We Love Turbo-Charged Dog!!!

It was about a movie starring the original Buffy (not Sarah MG) in which she was being attacked by a vampire. Her dog ran from her house all the way across town and fought the werewolf.

Our songs were between 5 seconds and 30 seconds, but a few were about 10 minutes long (the usual old-school grind band shtick)

KF unofficially dissolved in 2000. At that point there was no drummer and only PatrickFace and were in. When I moved to NY, that pretty much clinched it.

This recording is from somewhere between 1997-1999 I believe.
