Liz, I was going to offer you a shirt but my brain was mush by the time you were leaving. I owe you one though.

That night was great. Moshing until the extension cords came undone, being on one end of dueling walls of death, people showing up that I haven't seen since high school, throwing my jacket over the PA head to deflect flying beer, lots of ladies in the pit throughout the night and TWO heavy bands with excellent female vocalists and no one making a big deal (positive or negative) about it--just everyone letting loose while having respect for each other and the space, taking our new van out for the first time, tasteless jokes and Neil Diamond sing-a-longs because there's no radio, meeting new people and the inevitable figuring out of when our paths crossed years ago in suburban punk bands, getting helpful feedback on new material, bands excited to meet and talk to each other after the room cleared out. This was what it's about. Thanks to Doug and Jonah for setting things up and to everyone that added part of themselves to the night in one way or another.
