MORTIIS "THE SMELL OF RAIN" REMIX VERSION OUT NOW

Mortiis shocked and amazed fans and critics with the new direction he took on his last album, 2001's "The Smell Of Rain" -- stepping away from his trademark instrumental soundscapes and taking a bold detour into the world of darkwave dance music. Now, Mortiis delves deeper into the dance music world, releasing a remix version of "The Smell Of Rain", featuring remixes of four of the album's best tracks by some of electronic music's key players -- ambient minimalist and Hollywood composer Lustmord; New York house DJ Raven Fox; and Swedish drum n' bass/noise up and comer Tarmvred. The "The Smell Of Rain" remix version contains the original "The Smell Of Rain" album in its entirety plus the new bonus tracks, and stands as further proof of the intensely unique and independent nature of Mortiis -- an artist who never fails to follow his own visions down whatever road they might lead!
