Bands that you, personally, hate but i personally, rock out to at home. I like to admit i like them because it makes people cry, feeling our generation is lost when it comes to enjoying good music.

this whole post was so I could work my love for the deftones onto this board, in with other bands, so you wouldn't immediately go "FUCK IS THIS DUDE CRAZY?!?" if you saw it without cradling by other band names.

I wen througha period where i couldn't figure out if I hated Obituary or not...I'm still undecided. I crave overlapping vocal tracks, but yet I reject poorly orchestrated music...

I also went through a period of about 4-5 years of hating Pearl Jam, then a year or two of liking them, and now I'm back on the fence.

However, I have yet to like Down By Law. I really just can not get into them.

I despise pearl jam, alice in chains, sound garden, nirvana, and the whole so-called alternative movement.
I get mad when people clump those bands with Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, the Pixies and such.

And I love Sonic Youth and the Pixies. Not EVERYTHING by those bands, but the overwhelming body of work they created and the styles they devloped.

1991 The Year Punk Broke has been one of my most watched films for a while...I spent a big part of late High School watching that video over and over. That, and "Live! Tonight! Sold Out!" which was the Nirvana live video.

I like nirvana, but its pretty easy for people to hate them and i see why. I could not hate pearl jam or alice in chains since i find their sound to be rather refreshing and as musicians, well they are pretty good. But the only PJ albums I still listen to are vitalogy and ten.

The year punk broke is pretty cool, i didnt see the other one but i dont like nirvana.

dinosaur jr is awesome, so is sebadoh and folk implosion (but not as much as sebadoh).

AiC I have mixed reviews on...sometimes I'm like WHOA!! JERRY CANTRELL!!! and some days I'm like Booo...Jerry Cantrell... it depends on what song and my mood I think.

Yes, I actually like Saves The Day "Cant Slow Down" and "Through Being Cool", as well as the acoustic EP. "Stay What You Are" is pretty bad, though, and I haven't heard much after that.

And I own two Britney Spears CDs. Yes. Again, maybe not every song she ever did, but I actually really like a lot of what comes from that whole Britney production team.

I lived with a kid who listened to cant slow down. I think its some of the worst 'music' ive ever heard. Total fucking garbage.

Im sorry cigarettes, I dont mean to sound like a dick whole and Im not one to bash opinions, but the kid was a douche, i hated the music and when i hear saves the day i get pissed. No offense.

It's ok Jellyfish, you can't like the kind of music I like, have the kind of CD collection I have, and not go through life without people saying stuff.

The people that like Cant Slow Down get mad at the Sam Black Church CDs, or the Cannibal Corpse album, Sadis Euphoria, Phobia, At The Gates, Benumb, Brutal Truth, etc.

and then everyone seems to go through my collection and get very mad at the extensive local hardcore stuff. Like Scissorfight, 6L6, Big John Studd, etc. Or stuff like Dillinger Escape Plan, Harvest, Knut, etc.

I just like what I like.

Including the demo of my band when I was 14, that I was asked to join and sing in. I don't know how to sing and didn't then. We covered NOFX!

and I still have a squirrel nut zippers 7".

Brutal truth extreme .....etc was a great cd. I still listen to it.
