Dark Valley Records is putting together a comp CD to pass out at LocoBazooka as a fund raiser for the Vendor Fee.

The Crowd: 20,000 People
1,000 CDs (more if we find a better rate)

What you get out of the deal:

Your song and all contact info put on 1,000 CDs that will be thrown out to the crowd from the stage and passed out throughout the festival.

That's 1,000 people who will hear your song, that's better then any radio play you can get around here because if they like the song, they can listen to it again and show to their friends.

Your contact info/website address/email/phone/exc... will be printed inside the sleeve for all to see and know.

Have stickers and/or handouts? We'll even throw them into the CDs packaging at no extra cost.

You sit back, we do the work for you. You get all the benefits of a street team at one of the largest events next to Ozzfest without having to round up the band, drive for hours, sweating in the heat, fighting over what CD to listen to. Then stand in line, pitching your disc to complete strangers fearing your wasting your money on some of these people.

Because you're not the only band on the disc, people are more than likely to keep it and show it off to friends.

What do you need to do to get on this comp? It's easy. It's just $100 per song($20 a member if you have five members). Get ahold of us by calling 1-207-929-5962 or email us at darkvalleyrecords@yahoo.com and give the answer by Friday, August 20th.

Send your song on a CD/CDR with a check or money order to:

I think the worst shirt logo ever is the one that says 'Sicker then an AIDS clinic'
I was thinking of making a NotCommon records shirt that says 'Gayer then a retarded slogan' on the back.

Oh, and 100 dollars seems like alot considering most of the people who will be going to this event will be Godsmack fans who would probably toss the compilation out of the car window, or use to throw back at the stage when All That Remains plays.

$100 isn't a lot considering the disc alone cost $500. Besides, If your worried about people throwing out the disc with your band on it, your not giving your own bands much credit. Let alone the others on the comp.

there is no genre specified here, I want a well rounded batch because of that very fact, it will be going out to random people.

Maybe you misunderstood me, I don't think people will even listen to it. A bunch of faggot nu-metal kids who go to this will get the cd, hate the bands on the harder faster stage, and will probably boo them, and throw the cd at them.
It's not going to be random people, nobody is going to go for the harder faster stage if all they have to offer is Candiria, Kittie (who isnt even metal), and the bands who always play at the Palladium for every metal show.

Post this on baystaterock's message board and you might get some interest from bands that it might help.

Then give me the URL of that board.

The bands on the harder faster stage are gay.

DVR handles gay ass 13 Winters. I wouldn't trust them with my band, or my money.

Damage Plan just got added to the line-up.

many bands have already trusted DVR with their money. Bands, labels & zines from all over the world have done business with us. We have worked hard to earn the trust of many. Think what you want but I assure you, we're no rip-off distro/label.
