ehh yeah the whole lesnar free pass on the juice thing is a little hinky, but seeing a beast of a dude go up against a 5'10 dad bod w/ enormous punching power will be worth the watch.

odds say lesnar is the underdog due to his lack of a stand-up game (where hunt excels). time will tell.

I am pissed at Jones for getting pulled from the fight, the dummy should have known better. I don't think he is juicing by Lesnar did get a type of free pass, but they have been testing him since.

Dos Anjos vs Alverez for the title is on tonight and going to be killer.

UFC 90 fight night has been acquired through renewal of ufc fight pass. watching dark matches now.

toggletoggle post by susurrate at Jul 7,2016 10:20pm
clarke slipping on his ass and losing to duffy.... ugh.

toggletoggle post by MotleyGrue at Jul 8,2016 9:36am
Nelson vs Lewis could have went either way, an ok fight, but the main event holy shit Alvarez tagged the shit out of Dos Anjos to become the new champ, great fight.

toggletoggle post by susurrate at Jul 8,2016 9:49am
yeah that nelson/lewis gig was real close. alvarez was impressive as hell. good for him.

Tonight the two chicks who were the TUF coaches fight, they hate each other so it's going to be good. Anderson Silva is stepping in for Jon Jones and fighting Daniel Cormier for a non title fight on saturday night.

mildly interested in seeing if silva will return to form. glad they kept cormier on the bill in that capacity.

between that fight and the lesnar/hunt heavy-handers brawl, oughta be a good event. i haven't even looked at the rest of the card yet.

toggletoggle post by MotleyGrue at Jul 8,2016 12:53pm
UFC 200 card is fucking stacked, lots of good fights happening tomorrow night, worth watching.

toggletoggle post by Burnsy at Jul 8,2016 1:01pm edited Jul 8,2016 1:21pm
Gonna be a great card. Good for Silva for stepping up but I don't anticipate him dealing well with DC's wrestling.

mike who do you think will win the lesnar/hunt bout?

toggletoggle post by Hunt in r1 at Jul 8,2016 7:52pm
That may be a 20 second fight. Hunt uppercut during a Lesner takedown? I can see Brock gassing out fairly quickly.

toggletoggle post by susurrate at Jul 8,2016 8:07pm
upon initial skull contact from hunt, he *will* be out. but- can lesnar pull a world wrestling federation spear takedown while dodging a haymaker and ground and pound him with hammer fists?

only time will tell. but i agree. it will be short. unless they both do the old dance and get worn out and it ends up looking like kimbos last 'fight'.

toggletoggle post by MotleyGrue at Jul 8,2016 8:40pm
Lesnar: starts explosive, expect the takedown, does have some KO power, weak chin, hates to be punched in the face

Hunt: straight up one punch KO power, can eat punches, will keep the standup game if he can, questionable ground game

toggletoggle post by susurrate at Jul 8,2016 8:55pm
couldn't agree more ^. good analysis.

toggletoggle post by Burnsy at Jul 8,2016 9:22pm
I'm with MG on this. If Hunt can circle and avoid the takedown, Brock does not stand a chance. His jaw is glass. If Brock gets it to the ground, it's a classic Brock smother-and-smash. I see Hunt taking this one by knockout in the first.

This card is stacked!!!

Tate vs Nunez
Lesnar vs Hunt
Cormier vs Silva
Aldo vs Edgar
Velasquez vs Hunt

then the prelims, then the early prelims which features
Sanchez vs Lauzon

watching them all. gonna be a good evening of doing fuck all and watch others get hurt for my entertainment.

prelims at 8 on FS1 channel

toggletoggle post by susurrate at Jul 9,2016 9:27pm
highlight of the prelims so far for me was sage northcutt. i really want to hate that kid because of how he looks, but seeing some lightning fast karate moves in the ring is refreshing. dude has speed.

toggletoggle post by MotleyGrue at Jul 10,2016 12:24am
Brock in that first round, fuck.

toggletoggle post by susurrate at Jul 10,2016 12:39am
mark hunt- fucking SMOKED. i had a good feeling about brock tonight. Ruthless. also seems to have a more mature non-wwe influenced attitude. i want to see him get a title shot.

toggletoggle post by MotleyGrue at Jul 10,2016 12:42am
Hunt was not in the fight, Lesnar brought it, fuck should have bet on it

toggletoggle post by susurrate at Jul 10,2016 12:52am
i fully expected mark to knock brock the fuck out as many speculated, though i have always been on team lesnar and will continue to be. the power he can attain when reaching back when guards are happening are far more than just every day jabs. that was an incredible performance and i hope it isn't his last time in the octagon for UFC. devastating hits.

toggletoggle post by susurrate at Jul 10,2016 1:03am
did NOT expect such a dominant performance from amanda. damn.

toggletoggle post by MotleyGrue at Jul 10,2016 1:19am
Tate is fucking hot, did not enjoy her losing, but still was exciting, this all sets up the Rousey/Holmes fight down the road.

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Jul 10,2016 7:39am
Cormier fucking sucks.

toggletoggle post by MotleyGrue at Jul 10,2016 12:42pm
I'm not a Cormier fan either, but the dude keeps winning, at some point someone will beat his ass dominantly and I will be there smiling.

toggletoggle post by susurrate at Jul 10,2016 1:04pm
was anyone else completely underwhelmed by the edgar/aldo fight? i wound up getting up and making a sandwich towards the end of it.

toggletoggle post by susurrate at Jul 10,2016 1:05pm
i'm lukewarm on cormier.

toggletoggle post by MotleyGrue at Jul 10,2016 1:16pm
Aldo vs Edgar was a very boring fight, Aldo looked good but was not impressive, it was not Edgar's night. You know McGregor was sitting there thinking he could beat both those bums.

toggletoggle post by susurrate at Jul 10,2016 1:23pm
oh for sure. saw a photo of the fight where you see mcgregor in the back standing up in his suit just staring like the tall man. he can smoke either guy no problem. felt bad for edgar honestly. i was rooting for him.

toggletoggle post by MotleyGrue at Jul 10,2016 3:08pm
I felt bad for Edgar as well as I wanted him to win, but Aldo had something to prove after being humiliated in march by McGregor.

Did anybody see the Korean Kid??? He has devasting KO power and is in that division, I want to see more of him.

Jones did it.

toggletoggle post by MotleyGrue at Jul 10,2016 3:37pm
Jones did it, but it went to decision, and he let me and a shitload of people down by failing his test with both A and B samples. I don't like Jones either but for such an elite athlete why resort to that?

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Jul 10,2016 3:38pm
Honestly I thought the Edgar/Aldo fight was great. There was no real wow moment but they were active throughout. I was really curious how Aldo was going to respond after getting KO-ed. I feel like he started slow and a little hesitant. Once he got going he was dominant. Those long knees are really hard to pull off and he landed a good handful of them easily.

I think the reason you remember it as boring is because Cormier came in and sucked the life out of the whole show.

It went to decision but that fight was never close. Cormier was helpless.

And Jones got himself in this mess likely the same way all athletes do. Surrounding himself with shitheads.

more than likely. the edgar fight was not without action, it was just very one-sided in terms of variety of technique.

toggletoggle post by MotleyGrue at Jul 10,2016 4:11pm
Aldo and Edgar both put on a good show, yes I thought it was somewhat boring, but neither could put away eachother, both are strong fighters, I was just looking for a quick dominant finish, like must dickheads.

toggletoggle post by MotleyGrue at Jul 10,2016 4:15pm
Pisses me off to no end that Gustaffason or however you spell it couldn't beat Jones (although I thought he did and was robbed) or Cormier. He has an easy fight in a few months put the fucking MAULER back in the title picture.

Secondly it was cool to see a super fight with Cormier vs Silva, neither person lost in my eyes, they only keep shit interesting, and on only a few days notice, this is how the sport should be.

Third, I am waiting for the return of my boy NICK DIAZ!!!!!!!!!

There's no way to say this without sounding like an argumentative butthead but....

Jones/Gustafsson was Jones by a mile. It was an incredible fight but Jones was the clear winner of the last 3 rounds, if not all 5. He was landing that spinning back elbow (again, ridiculously hard to land) at will and definitely did the most damage. Gustafsson is 1-2 since and lost Cormier and Anthony Johnson, neither of which are even in the same league as Jones.

On my scorecard it was Gustafasson by a razors edge decision, Jones has gone on the record and said he wants to fight Gustafasson again, he knows he lost that fight and wants to avenge that loss.

Did I read it right? Anderson Silva got a 6 million dollar payday to fight Cormier? Please tell me I was high and drunk.................

Facts are simple, Jones lost out on a six figure dollar payday.
