I do not like the new song, I do not like the old CNV songs, as his music always gets ADHD and becomes boring. If this is an ode to New England then the musical bar is laying on the ground dead. Nobody is drinking your generic kool aid anymore, and if they are it is the people you despise the most. So moving forward drop the fake accent, and do try to stay sober, maybe your music will become better though I doubt it. While you do get a pass for getting a release, look at the piss poor example you are setting for New England, the joke was once on you, now it rests on all of us to deal with.
