Hey local band guys that want on this show....if you dont get on...there will be other shows, theres no reason to argue about who should play, because it sure as fuck wont get anything solved.
instead, if you really want to play, go to the venue with a press pak or a demo, and talk to the owner yourself. you never know.

I'm gonna go with Tom's *coughs* at the beginning, Porphyria is a sick motherfucking band, seeing them open for Shadows Fall would be amazing.. since there a band based i guess outta my town.. cuz they practice there...

I personally don't care who is chosen for locals at this show as long as they're deserving of it. I mean, honestly, you can sell tickets 'til you're blue in the face, it doesn't make you any better a band than the next guys who struggle playing shows in front of 20-30 people week after week. The bands who play consistently and don't bitch about turnouts are the "working-class" bands, I think people have a much better overall respect for these bands (at least I do anyway). Why not give some of these bands the chance to be seen by people that might not venture to O'Brien's on a Thursday night or the C-Block on a Sunday?

Hey Josh Martin........ We've never had to pay to play. Of course, we've had to sell tickets several times. That's no problem..... I never bitch about having to sell tickets. It gets the people to the show. We've played CBGB's a few times over the years..... We were always invited to play. Shit, Nuclear Assault had us co-headline with them two years ago to an overly sold-out show! The only time we payed to play was at the first New Jersey Metalfest we played at in 2001.

I think some of you don't get why clubs have bands sell tickets.... It's to make sure that people will be there!!!! And, the money from the pre-sold tickets pays for the national band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok i never go to boston for shows let alone NH (im lazy) but my GF wants to see Shadows Fall and i want to see Candiria and ATR (is the haunted still playing? cause on the website it says they are) and we do not want to go to locobazooka to catch them (although i want to see helmet).

question is how many people does this place hold? since i'd be driving like an hour and a half should i get tix for this ahead of time or does this place never sell out?

That's the dumbest fucking thing ever, why bother booking national acts if you are going to rely on the local opening band to cover your ass, you could make more money just by having the local band play who can draw 50+ people. Stupid club, they should change the name of the bomb shelter to Jarrod's NH rock venue.

The club's Cap is 500,The local opener sold 120 tix so far( can you do that Joe?,oh yea and it is not required to play you idiot,it is so they can get a good paycheck)It may sell out ,it may not ,buying a ticket before hand is up to you(Josh_hates_you)

Because they can sell tickets(yea no one likes the tix idea but hey they sell alot) ,at Chimaira they sold over 80,if it was not for them the show would have bombed,so Serge gave them there choice of nationals that he had booked,to open for ... a couple of them are from Hopkington and the others are from the laconia area. They actually like selling tickets cause they know if someone buys a ticket in advance they will come to the show,instead of,"oh,yea we'll be there dude" ,and not show.

if they opened for chimaira, then theyd definetly be able to sell tickets. it sounds like theyre more in the mainstream area. i would have loved to get rk on this show, but no one in the boston scene could care less about buying tickets for a shadows fall show.
