DECAPITATED Involved In 'Serious' Van Accident

I passed them on my way into the city yesterday. They were opening for GWAR at House of Blues later that night. (I wanted to go, but had plans already ....) Anyway, I was out of a meeting and heading back to my job in the city, when I saw this smashed up van as I was merging onto I-10. A glimpse at the metalheads and I immediately knew it was for the GWAR show and thought 'I bet that's PATHOLO--- I mean DECAPITATED".

I felt bad for them and kinda wished I could have stopped - but the merge connected past where they were (you can see the little barrier they are all leaning against.) The van was fucked and there were already other trucks their pulling stuff away. Weird. They lost a drummer that way years ago.

Whoah.

By the way, It probably was not their fault. Drivers in Louisiana fucking SUCK. And that is not just a New Englander feeling superior. Seriously, they suck... Louisiana is notorious for being at the top of national "worst drivers" lists. My auto insurance jumped dramatically when I moved here.

These fucking dudes cant get a break....they need to just stop driving to shows altogether.

DECAPITATED Singer Speaks Out on Band’s Recent Van Accident
DECAPITATED singer Rafal "Rasta" Piotrowski talked to the MetalSucks podcast at Housecore Horror Film Festival this weekend, just one day after the band was involved in another “serious” van accident.

In 2007, DECAPITATED was involved in a tragic tour bus accident, claiming the life of drummer Witold “Vitek” Kiełtyka and leaving vocalist Adrian “Covan” Kowanek with limb paralysis.

New vocalist Rafal stated: “I’m used to it because a couple of years ago, like three years ago, we had a [plane] landing without wheels. This band is professional at accidents. We try to make jokes about it.”
