NIGHTBRINGER stream new track, reveal new album details
Colorado black metal cult NIGHTBRINGER are streaming the first track taken from their new album, 'Ego Dominus Tuus' (I Am Your Lord). The new track, 'Et Nox Illuminatio Mea In Deliciis Meis' is streaming now at Stereogum. http://www.stereogum.com/1693642/nightbrin...mc_cid=93713e6cdb&mc_eid=0f3aebff21

'Ego Dominus Tuus' will be released by Season of Mist in North America on September 30 (September 26 worldwide). The album is available for pre order here. 'Ego Dominus Tuus' was recorded and mixed at Flatline Audio Studios by Dave Otero (CEPHALIC CARNAGE, CATTLE DECAPITATION, COBALT). The tracklist and album art for 'Ego Dominus Tuus' can be found below.

Regarding the track, the band issued the following statement: "Et Nox… refers to a line from Psalm 139. The lyrics draw heavily upon this psalm, which we feel, via a perhaps more heretical approach, elucidates symbols relevant to the ‘midnight sun’ and the ‘night of light’. Furthermore we touch upon the Greek melancholia and the sovereignty of Saturn over those of us who are born with his mark and our relation to the former concepts as well as the significance of the ‘black light’ of our Lord. It speaks much of the ecstatic furor one may enter in which wisdom is imparted both from above, below and within, via a state of ‘divine madness’. "

Track list:
1. Prayer of Nephal
2. Et Nox Illuminatio mea in Deliciis Meis
3. Lantern of Eden's Night
4. Things which are Naught
5. I am the Gateway
6. Call of the Exile
7. Where Fire never Dreamt of Man
8. The Witchfires of Tubal-Qayin
9. Salvation is the Son of Leviathan
10.The Otherness of Being
Established in 1999, NIGHTBRINGER was created as a conduit for the contemplations on the mysteries of death as it is understood in the tradition of the art magical. The band have an uncompromising, orthodox approach to black metal. 2011's 'Hierophany of the Open Grave' has further solidified the band's signature sound: characterized by cacophonous walls of distortion, haunting melodies, and occult lyrics revering the unholy. NIGHTBRINGER has made select rare appearances in the United States and Europe as part of various metal festivals; these include Maryland Deathfest, Under the Black Sun Festival, and the cult Gathering of the Shadows.

PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTTT.

"Previous albums sounded a bit like Deathspell Omega due to both bands’ use of dissonant suspended chords, though Nightbringer’s latest, Ego Dominus Tuus (which translates to “I am your Lord”), drops the dissonance in favor of broad-stroke bombast and piercing upper-fret melodics, and the change is welcome."

Has this dude ever fucking listened to Nightbringer? What a dolt.

Song rules though.
