Just trying to make things interesting. In light of the upcoming King Diamond tour, I thought it would be cool to see what everyone's favorite King Diamond and Mercyful Fate albums are. I'll be posting another thread shortly for the King Diamond albums as well.

Don't break the oath without question.

I went with the same thing.

Melissa. Call me kooky, but I can't get enough of THOSE riffs.

I can't decide between melissa and don't break the oath.
I listen to the don't break the oath more, but I think I like melissa more.

I was predictable and went with Don't Break The Oath like everyone else.

Is 90's Mercyful Fate any good? I never hear anyone either criticize or praise those albums, I forgot they exist.

So far I've only taken the time to listen to In The Shadows and I actually really dig it.

I think I'll hold off on hunting down underground bands for a bit and give the rest a listen.

you people call yourselves fate fans and you've never even heard Time? the first six tracks and lady in black are all absolute classic MF.

I went with Melissa but it was really close with Don't Break the Oath. The production on Don't Break was just a little off, but the songs are great.

The other albums are surprisingly good too. Anyone who only listened to the 80s stuff should check out In The Shadows. It's like they didn't break up.

Also, I would have voted for Self Titled EP (aka Nuns Have No Fun) or In The Beginning (the comp that has the Nuns Have No Fun). "A Corpse Without Soul" "Doomed by the Living Dead" "Devil Eyes" ..... Fucking Amazing

In the shadows definitely
