King Diamond announces North American Tour 2014

Agoura Hills, CA - June 23, 2014 - King Diamond has confirmed what has been rumored for several weeks: the band will return to North America for a full tour this Fall! The tour will wrap up with the previously announced performance at Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, TX, and begins on October 11 in Atlanta, GA. A limited edition King Diamond jacket will be available through the SHOWstubs.com fan club presale, which begins tomorrow, June 24th. Tickets will be on sale online and at box offices nationwide on Friday, June 27th.

King Diamond will be joined on stage, of course, by long time band members Andy LaRocque, Mike Weed, Hal Pacino, and Matt Thompson. Additionally, North American fans will be bearing witness to the band's full European festival stage show. These will be the most ambitious and largest productions in North America in the band's entire history. A special guest supporting act for the tour will be announced at a later date.

I'm glad they added a Worcester date. I only like going to shows in NY if there's a band playing that I know won't come to New England.

toggletoggle post by spence at Jun 23,2014 9:43pm
Tickets for the Worcester show are apparently 40 bucks. Intense.

Still a better deal than going all the way to/from NY though.

toggletoggle post by HookedonMetal at Jun 23,2014 9:54pm
I'd pay $100 to see King Diamond. $40 is a pretty awesome deal as far as I'm concerned.

toggletoggle post by spence at Jun 24,2014 3:27am
King Crimson in September, King Diamond in October.

Long live the kings.

toggletoggle post by ssds at Jun 28,2014 3:36pm
Apparently NYC, Chicago, LA, etc. are all already sold out and that all non-sold out dates are close to it. Everyone get tickets fast!

toggletoggle post by AUTOPSY_666   at Jun 29,2014 2:27am
I paid $109 for a jacket and ticket, bargain.

toggletoggle post by spence at Aug 4,2014 9:14pm
Yeah apparently tickets are selling "quite well" for all the dates.

"King Diamond would like to welcome Jess and the Ancient Ones as the opening act for the North American tour this fall. The occult rock group from Kuopio, Finland, was personally selected by King Diamond himself to be the openers on the tour.

Jess and the Ancient Ones is an occult rock band from Kuopio, Finland. This seven-headed entity was given birth by Thomas Corpse and Thomas Fiend, its purpose being the exploration of magical realms beyond the mundane. The band's lyrical concept is based upon the personal occult experiences of the writers, which combined with music, creates a strong mystical atmosphere. With the vocal talent Jess as their frontwoman and three guitars in the lineup, JATAO draw inspiration from heavy metal and rock groups of the classic era, such as Mercyful Fate, Roky Erickson, Iron Maiden and Abba. Watch their latest video for "Astral Sabbat" at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hgWxb1bXkE. For more information, visit their official website, http://www.jessandtheancientones.com/, as well as follow them on twitter and facebook: https://twitter.com/JatAO_Official, https://www.facebook.com/jessandtheancientones.

In other news, the Atlanta, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles shows on the tour are SOLD OUT! Additionally, only a handful of tickets remain for the Seattle, WA date. Get your tickets now before they are gone!"

Anyone with any clue who this opener is? Also, less than a month away.

I saw KING DIAMOND at age 18 (1988, 28 (MERCYFUL FATE in Milwaukee 1998) and 34 (Worcester 2004), now I am 44, so 4 consecutive decades, can't wait for Oct 16th!

Guitarist of Jess and the Ancient Ones is the singer of Demilich, so it's okay for you morbid sniffers to like them.

Bump because King Diamond is coming up soon.

No Abigail or Curse of the Pharaohs? I guess King Diamond has too much awesome material under his belt to include everything. Also..... will Spencer be gracing the Palladium with his presence this Thursday?

toggletoggle post by spence at Oct 12,2014 5:05pm
There was also apparently songs written on the setlist that weren't performed, so this might be a tour with a changing setlist - so who knows, we may get Abigail.

Also, most definitely. King Diamond and one of the Artillery shows(not 100% sure which one yet) are both definitely tours i'm hitting up.

King Diamond is of the devil. He is contracted with Lucifer to instain your minds and hearts. My children won't be attending this Satanic dark music show. We will be in the Lord's glory in my basement. I pray for all of you. I have learned that there are even some "christian songs" that do not bring glory to God and I am still learning to discern and see what should be thrown out and what not.

Imagine this for a moment, a teenager is very heavy into 'heavy metal' and hears the good news, believes they are a sinner in need of saving and repents and accepts Jesus as their Lord and savior. But they totally dont like the sound of christian music. So they do give up the worldy and satanic heavy metal but begin to listen to some christian 'metal like bands and music'......these people should be saved or burned.

And i know that as they grow with the Lord their taste for music WILL change cause God will give them new desires.

There is a dvd out called "Sold their souls for rock an roll". i think its about 2 an half hours long. Please look for it an get it. This dvd is about the stanic messages and stuff the media (TV, newspapers, magazines, radio etc) ALREADY KNOWS about concerning the people in various bands and their music but has kept it from the public. It will teach you very very much about music and you will have even more solid information to share with those who love 'wordly music".

God bless you with divine wisdom in your journey of exposing the evils of 'wordly seducing' music.
