MA Metalheads salutes this milestone with an entire day dedicated to listening to Skeleton Witch and Killswitch Engage. |

Such a great album, it really does feel like the epitome of Black Metal more and more with each listen. Also, the recording itself is sonically flawless for the music, too. The way the guitar and keyboard tones are balanced together gives it the perfect atmosphere.
I always get the ending to Inno a Satana stuck in my head after each listen. Damn thing is just plain majestic. |

I won tickets to see Emperor at the Great American Music Hall back in 98 or 99, but I told the dj on KFJC that I didnt listen to black metal and to give them to someone who listened to black metal. I wasnt even trying to win them, I was just calling to request a song.. I regret not going, but I was only 15 or 16 |

I remember buying this album at a store at the age of 14. The person that I asked at the place if it was worthwhile said it was an absolute masterpiece. It has haunted me for almost as long as its been out. Thick atmosphere and entrenched with a murderous history and flawless production with unparalled music ality. The vinyl is a peice of history |

There's chicks dancing on poles, legally, right now, that were born two years after this album came out. Harsh reality. |
