News.RttP{VATTNET VISKAR full tour Spring 2014}

New Hampshire's post-black/doom metallers VATTNET VISKAR have announced over two months of touring in support of their debut full-length, Sky Swallower, an album that was named one of the best releases of 2013 by Pitchfork.com, Stereogum.com, and many others. The extensive North American trek kicks off in March with Vermont's sludgy stoners, VAPORIZER, as they head into this year's SXSW music festival. From there, Australian thrashers KING PARROT join the bill for a lengthy run of dates, before VATTNET VISKAR finally meets up with the legendary DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN in April. Released last year to critical acclaim, Sky Swallower was recorded at Universal Noise Storage with producer Brett Boland at the helm and features eight tracks of crushingly ambient, blackened doom metal. Not content to keep their unique sound confined to the studio, however, VATTNET VISKAR plans to support their latest album with thundering live performances across the nation. Having already shared the stage with such titans as BLACK ANVIL, INQUISITION and WOODS OF YPRES, the quartet has left their mark throughout the US with a seemingly endless string of shows.
